Tomorrow, I will run the 119th Boston Marathon. It is a dream come true and one that wouldn’t be possible without the support from so many wonderful people in my life. Training was really tough at times. Dealing with the snowiest winter ever in New England made running seem almost impossible at times and figuring out how to balance training with a baby, work, home life, and everything else took quite a bit of coordination. But, of course, I know…

The marathon is just 4 days from today! FOUR!! AHHHH! I can’t believe it. I really can’t believe it. I am so excited and so nervous at the same time. At this point, I know I need to just trust my training, stop obsessively checking the weather forecast, and focus on the things that I can control, like my OUTFIT for race day. I’ve also received quite a few questions from readers about what I am wearing…

Hello! I did a double workout yesterday afternoon, and, boy, am I feeling it today! I haven’t done much strength training lately, so Kerrie and I did a workout at KFIT. I used #85 for the shoulder-to-overheads (S2OH), sub-ed regular pull-ups for chest-to-bar (C2B), and did TRX triceps presses instead of ring dips. The scribble at the end of the workout is a 2k row. (We weren’t sure if we’d have time for it since…

Good morning and happy FRIDAY, friends! Here is another edition of What I’m Loving Lately. ENJOY! The ingredient list is pretty simple, so I might do a little baking this weekend! New toy storage – We finally organized Quinn’s toys, so they are no longer taking over our house. Hooray! BEFORE: Toy madness in the…

Hi, friends! Good morning and happy Hump Day to you! Now that I am in the middle of marathon training, I find myself eating ALL DAY LONG. My training plan called for a longer run, which I planned to do on the treadmill at KFIT last night, so I documented what I ate during the day in preparation for it. I knew I’d need plenty of calories before and after, so here’s a snapshot of what…

Good morning! I’ve received quite a few questions about my winter running gear, so here’s a little recap of what I wore for my long run this past Sunday. (FYI: It was 19 degrees when I started running and 29 degrees when I finished.) Except for my ear-warmer/headband and socks, everything I wore was purchased by me (or Mal), so they’re are not “sponsored” in anyway. They’re items that I absolutely love and recommend 100%. Head-to-toe winter running gear:…
