We hadn’t visited Black Butte Ranch (BBR) since 2015 when Quinn was just a year old, so we were more than ready to return to one of our favorite vacation spots ever. BBR is truly a special place and one we look forward to visiting again and again, especially now that Quinn is older. There’s so much to do! I really could go on and on about how much we love the ranch, but instead I’ll…

Hey, hey! We’re on our way home from Oregon today. It was an absolutely wonderful week away, but we’re looking forward to being home, sleeping in our own beds, and, of course, seeing Murphy. We missed that little furball! Anyway, here are some more photos from our family vacation in Oregon!

Greetings from Oregon! I just wanted to quickly pop in and share some highlights from our family vacation so far. We’re here for a few more days, so there are plenty more adventures to come. Ok, here we go! Ready for July 4th! Iced Americano with coconut syrup and coconut syrup. It’s much too hot for pants. The “Dada Monster” strikes again! Family party at our place. Cowboy Caviar. Cruising up stairs. NBD. Pool time!

Good morning and happy February! I can’t believe the first month of the year is already over. Since the new year is moving right along, I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the things I’m looking forward to in 2013 with the help of the alphabet. (Why not, right?) A – Annual party: Our Pig Party and tiny HUGE party were both huge successes, so we’re already thinking about what to plan…

When Mal and I arrived at Black Butte Ranch last Sunday, it seemed like we had all the time in the world to enjoy our time away, but, wow, it really ended up flying by. I can’t believe our vacation is over. We packed a lot in (family get-togethers, trips to Bend, biking, hiking, yoga, paddleboarding, golf, tennis, and pickle ball), but I’m glad it included plenty of rest and relaxation too. I definitely feel…

Yesterday’s adventures included multiple racquet sports! Mal and I have had quite the fitness vacation, haven’t we? Snack Mal and I made plans with his cousin Kevin bright and early yesterday morning, so before I left the house, I ate a banana with peanut butter. Exercise on an empty stomach is no good for me. Kevin is a high school tennis coach, so he offered to give Mal and me a tennis lesson. So cool!…

After our golf outing and a little R & R around the house, Mal and I attended a family reunion party. Living on opposite sides of the country, we don’t often see this half of the family, so it was really nice to catch up with everyone. Eventually, I took a break from chatting to munch on some appetizers. My pick was veggies with guacamole, which was such a delicious combo. Gotta remember this one…

Yesterday morning was all about golf! Mal, his dad, and his dad’s two cousins played 18 holes at Glaze Meadow at Black Butte Ranch while my mother-in-law, another one of my father-in-law’s cousins, and I walked the course with them. Breakfast Before I left the house, I made a two-ingredient pancake with blueberries and a few scoops of almond butter on top for breakfast. I also took an iced decaf vanilla chai “latte” to go…

Yesterday’s adventures including paddleboarding! But first, breakfast! Breakfast All this talk about two-ingredient pancakes, I decided to make one myself for breakfast. I topped mine with fresh blueberries and a bunch of scoops of almond butter, but only one (of the many) is pictured. The reason I don’t snap pics of those additional spoonfuls of nut butter is because my plate/bowl is always a mushy mess and it just never looks appetizing in a photo. But, I can assure you…

Guess who took their very first yoga class yesterday! Mal has talked about trying yoga for years now, but ever since he started Crossfit, he’s actually talked about it more (since mobility is key to CrossFit), so he finally bit the bullet and did some yoga yesterday morning. Breakfast Before yoga, I ate a sliced banana with blueberries and 3 or 4 spoonfuls of almond butter. The house where we are staying is just short distance…

Yesterday was a super active day filled with sun, fun, biking, and hiking around Central Oregon. After breakfast, Mal and I, his parents, and Mal’s dad’s cousin went for a 40-minute bike ride around Black Butte Ranch. There are miles and miles of paved bike paths and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking, so it was quite a treat. Three-Fingered Jack. Mount Washington. Lunch After our bike ride, we popped home for a quick lunch since…

I slept like a rock last night, so I woke up bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and totally refreshed this morning. Hooray! After the past few days (travel, Reebok event, travel, HLS cocktail party, Whole9 seminar, travel), I really needed it! The house where we are staying this week is so adorable””very rustic! Breakfast This morning’s breakfast was eaten in a few different pieces. I started with a banana with almond butter””I went back for another big scoop…

Greetings from beautiful Oregon! Mal and I are here visiting family for the week. I am so looking forward to some rest and relaxation! Yesterday morning, we woke up bright and early to catch our flight out of Logan. All packed up and ready to not check luggage! Mal and I said goodbye to Murphy on Saturday, which was so sad (for me). I’m a big baby and almost cried, but I managed to keep it…
