Our “baby” turned 6 years old yesterday… and, my gosh, we’ve celebrated! Let’s just say Quinn has had quite the birthday celebration! I mean, you only turn 6 once, right? 🙂 The celebrations started last Saturday with an early birthday present – Dueling Stomp Rockets! We planned a small “water party” with a few kids from the neighborhood, so we figured it would be a fun toy to play with. The Dueling Stomp Rockets and…

Quinn had quite the birthday celebration this year. Holy cow, it was non-stop festivities! They started more than a week ago and continued through last weekend with a birthday party at Goldfish Swim School. His pool party was his “official” birthday celebration, so I guess the others were just… practice for the big day? 😉 Let’s just say, he’s one lucky boy! 🙂 Our birthday party at Goldfish Swim School was included in a recent…

This cool kid had quite the birthday weekend! This is 5… silly, sweet, sensitive, kind, thoughtful, creative, curious, persistent, and Pokémon-loving! 🙂 Quinn’s 5th birthday celebration started with a family breakfast at Lucky Finn Cafe. His cousins from Seattle were visiting, so we wrangled the whole crew and headed down to Scituate to one of our favorite spots. (Can we talk about their matching outfits?!) Once Quinn finished eating his almond croissant, it was time…

Hi, guys! Our sweet boy turns 4 years old on Saturday, so party preparations are in full swing this week. I love celebrating birthdays, so I’m especially excited about Quinn’s big day – maybe even more than him? 🙂 He’s SUPER excited and has talked about his birthday for months now, so he’s more than ready to PAR-TAY this weekend! My morning started with a quickie breakfast: A banana muffin with sprinkles (Quinn’s idea), a…

Saturday morning started with a fun partner workout. I teamed up with Marisa and whizzed right through it. It wasn’t a hard workout with regard to the weight, but, holy cow, it was a grip-smoker. I actually had to put the bar down on the hold during the Hang Cleans. Ouch! After CrossFit, Qman and I arrived home. I had half of an iced coffee (French Toast + SFH vanilla) in the fridge from the day…

Hi, guys! Thank you for all of the awesome birthday wishes yesterday. It means so much to me! And I had such a wonderful day… and a wonderful weekend! It’s been quite the birthday celebration to say the least. Here’s a little recap from the weekend! 🙂 Saturday Saturday kicked off with the “Filthy Fifty” at CrossFit. I hadn’t done this workout in years, so I was excited to see how I’d do, especially since I rarely…

Hi, guys! Quinn’s birthday celebration continued well into the weekend! 🙂 Saturday Saturday morning was our usual CrossFit + Coffee Shack routine —> fun partner workout followed by donuts and iced coffee, which, of course, is the best way to start the day! 🙂 After that, we ran some errands, ate lunch, and then Quinn went down for his nap, which included baking Funfetti cupcakes and assembling goodie bags for his party the next day. After Quinn’s…

Good morning and happy Monday to you! I hope you had a lovely weekend! 🙂 Saturday morning started with our usual CrossFit + donuts and iced coffee from Coffee Shack… but the workout was ridiculous this time. Holy quads. I paired up with my friend Marisa and thank goodness that I had her to keep me going. I was struggling at points, but I made it… without dying… just barely. I mean, Karen (150 wallballs) +…

(You can thank Mal for this amazing blog post title! Haha!) Hi, friends! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! I’m just popping in real quick to share some adventures from our weekend. Our little family had quite the fun-filled Saturday and Sunday! Ok, here we go… weekend recap time! HANOVER DAY We attended our first Hanover Day, a three-day event that included a carnival, vendor fair, road race, live music, fireworks, and more. It was awesome,…

Quinn’s 2nd birthday party was a huge success! Our little guy had such a great time. Many, many thanks to all of the family and friends who made it a special day for him! We originally planned to have his party outside in our backyard, but it ended up raining, so we moved things inside. Our “Plan B” actually ended up working out really well since we had so many kids at the party and…

We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday over the weekend with a family lunch complete with good times, lots of laughs, and some seriously delicious cake. It was a great time, but, first, let’s talk about the decorations! The adorable birthday sign above is from Sunflower Paperie. Kate, the owner, also did the decorations for Quinn’s birthday party as well as my baby shower. She makes some super cute stuff! We also bought fresh flowers and mini pumpkins…

Sign for party. Kitchen to porch. So much love. One awesome party. Passed out pug. Loves his train. Sunday long run. Napping with Murphy.

Mal, Q, Murphy, and I finally got out of the house this weekend! Hooray! Since I’m breastfeeding and Q eats every 1-3 hours, I’m basically on his schedule, which means we’ve stuck close to home since he was born (except for a couple of trips to the park and the pediatrician). Mal and I were both feeling some serious cabin fever (and getting cranky about it), so we made ourselves get out of the house and, man,…
