Sunday Movie Night

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

One of my favorite ways to deal with the Sunday Night Blues is to watch a movie with my hubby on the couch in my PJs. It’s a nice way to relax and unwind before the busy work week begins. Mal is waiting patiently for me to start our Sunday night movie, so I need to make this post quick!

For dinner tonight, I took a bunch of leftovers in the fridge (chicken breast + sausage), chopped them up, and threw them in a pot of couscous along with sliced mushrooms, olive oil, and minced garlic.

Then, I threw a few scoops of it on top of a big salad.

And topped it all with balsamic vinegar.

It was a fast, delicious, and nutritious dinner in just minutes!

For dessert/tomorrow morning’s breakfast, I whipped up a batch of Blueberry Chocolate Protein Muffins. This recipe will likely appear in my book, so I can’t share it on my blog. Sorry, guys!

Mmm… muffins!

Movie time!

  1. I just started a new “tradition:- Movie Monday. $5 for movies on Mondays at the theatre. Makes Monday a little less “blah!”

Enjoy your movie with your husband πŸ˜€

  2. I hate the SUnday night blues too- and reading this post makes me regret that I just spent the past hour and a half doing work, ugh! I know it will make tomorrow morning less stressful though.

  3. Those muffins sound pretty delicious!

I agree, doing something relaxing on a Sunday night to get your mind off of the fact that the work week starts tomorrow helps the blues. Speaking of which, I’m off to watch a movie myself. Enjoy your evening. πŸ™‚

  4. Lovely looking muffins! For the first time in months I didn’t get the Sunday night blues last night…I don’t have uni today, I’ve finished teaching!! So much revision to do though..but movies are always a great way to unwind πŸ™‚

  5. mmmm those muffins look lush! I’ll have to get your book then! Hope you had a good movie night, they are always a good way to relax.

  6. Not sure where you live…but do you have a restaurant in food courts, MmmmmmmmMuffins! ? that’s what your post made me think of.
The couscous/salad is a great idea. I might whip something up like that tonight or tomorrow for lunch for the week.

  7. Aww I love movie night with the husband. Too bad he has to be so busy writing his thesis right now! haha.

great looking salad by the way!
