I'm Tina

Snack

Mid-morning, I snacked on a Vega Whole Food Vibrancy Bar. It be honest, the flavor was pretty nasty, but I was hungry and it had a bunch of “superfoods” in it, so I ate it anyway.

After my snack, I packed-up to go to Healthworks for a Fitness Assessment and a workout.

Fitness Assessment

At HW, I met with my trainer friend, Tara, so she could take my measurements as a starting point for Lose the Dough. I was on the fence about posting my “stats” on the blog, but Tara encouraged me to do so. Posting them on the blog for everyone to see will be great motivation. Eek! 😯

Ok, I’ve never done this before, but here we go!

Starting Point:

Weight: 132 pounds

Body Fat: 22.9%

BMI: 22.7

Waist: 27 inches

Abdomen: 28.25 inches

Hips: 37.25 inches

Waist to Hip Ratio: 0.72

I have some goals in mind about where I want these numbers to be at the end of the challenge, but I will reveal them once I think about my goals a little more.

Healthworks members: If you want to get your own “stats” taken, visit the Fitness Desk (at any location) and ask for a Fitness Assessment. It takes about 30 minutes and it’s totally free! Just make sure to not exercise before it. (It will mess up your results.)

Workout

At Healthworks this afternoon, I took my favorite class: BODY PUMP!

Man, I LOVE this workout! It kicks my butt every time! :mrgreen:

Today’s class was HARD! I was actually surprised how weak I felt today. Usually, I am one of the “strongest” people in the class with the most weight on my bar, but not today. I bumped down my weight on every track, and I was still struggling!

I am going to be SO SORE tomorrow! I wonder if I can finagle a massage out of my husband? πŸ˜‰

After Body Pump, I did 35 minutes on the elliptical while watching Kelly Ripa’s True Hollywood Story.

Then, I hit the shower only to realize that I am totally out of practice packing for the gym. I forgot ALL of my make-up, flip-flops for the shower (eww!), and I packed two left sneakers. Um, yea.

Now, I’m sporting my gym sneakers with jeans, which is not nearly as fashionable as skinny jeans with tall boots! πŸ˜‰

Lunch

For lunch, I packed a peanut butter and jelly on Sandwich Thins and a pear. I’m also planning to get some sort of delicious Starbucks beverage in a little bit.

Ok, time to get some writing done! I’m still 2 chapters behind!

  6. Tina I am so proud of you for sharing all your stats on the blog. That is not easy! You are beautiful and an inspiration. This might sound like a silly question because I MAY be the only one who does not know, but how do you make all those cute faces on your blog? I love how you get your emotions across that way. Not always easy to do through writting.

    I love to watch TV when I’m at the gym. As long as I monitor my progress, I can be distracted with sweet, sweet TV.

  9. You are an inspiration and a very brave girl!!! I don’t know if I would be comfortable posting my stats for the world to see. Even though your’s are nothing to be ashamed of (mine probably aren’t either) it’s just the idea of people knowing THAT much information. GO GET 30!!! I turned 30 in May and I have to say that so far it feels a hell of a lot better than my 20’s!!!

  11. Hey! I mentioned on this mornings post that your Lose the Dough goals sounded like a great idea and I was surprised to see that we are currently the same height and weight. Measurements were a little different and I have no idea what my body fat % is but seems like it would be cool to follow along especially with the similar stats. Good luck starting it up!

  12. LOL two left shoes? I think you were packing for me because I definitely have two left feet! I’ve been known to forget socks, shower shoes, spare undies, and sports bras on more than one occassion. Good luck with the new plan! I’ve been forced into my new plan because I caught the stomach flu that’s going around.NOT what I had in mind!

  13. I’m kinda sad you’re losing your “dough” as we’re right about the same dimensions and I look good (it helps to have my bf tell me all the time too!) and you do too!! I know I could “skinny it up” but devoting even more time to the gym/working out than I currently do, but seriously, enjoying life is so much more better.

    Oh and yay for cookie binges. It’s good to see “a real person” in food blogger world!

  19. Love your sandwich using a sandwich thin. It is one of my favorite products! Try natural peanut butter with honey + banana (optional). Also, i got quoted in the US Weekly you have on there. LOL. On the page about Kim Kardashian’s diet. Great work on your blog. I need to do more photos on mine.

  20. Uh, this is going to sound weird, but I think i’m in the background of that picture of your elliptical, on the bike. I went for a short lunchtime work-out yesterday at Back Bay. Healthworks really IS the best gym in the world. Recently a bunch of my friends have joined and we regularly have gush sessions about how much we love it.
