What a beautiful afternoon!
We have blue skies!
Birds chirping!
Melting snow!
And patches of grass!
It’s starting to feel spring-ish in Boston! Hooray! 😎
Workout
I started my Yoga Challenge off on the right foot by purchasing an unlimited two-week pass to a yoga studio that recently opened in my neighborhood. It’s been on my radar for a few weeks now, so I figured the start of the Challenge was the perfect time to buy a pass and recommit to my yoga practice. Spending money on fitness-related stuff always motivates me. I hate to waste money! Does spending money motivate you to exercise/stick to your workouts?
The class that I did this morning was a 75-minute Vinyasa. The first Downward Facing Dog almost killed me, but my legs eventually loosened up. I can’t even explain how much better they feel after that class! I feel like a new woman! And, somehow, my IT bands aren’t sore anymore? I dunno how it happened, but I’ll take it!
Lunch
After yoga, I did a few quick errands and then headed home for lunch. I was famished! I threw together a quick salad with roasted cauliflower and Garlic Gold Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette drizzled on top.
Lunch also included a banana-chocolate smoothie. In the mix: frozen banana, almond milk, chia seeds, vanilla protein powder, Greek yogurt, and cocoa powder. So yum!
Work, work, workin’ all afternoon long!

i love veggies in a salad
Good luck with the work!
Are there any Boston area (Brookline, Back Bay, Brighton) places you could recommend for Yoga? I have a lot of races this spring also, and have really wanted to get into Yoga, but I am having a hard time finding a place..thanks and good luck!
Maybe try Yelp for some reviews? I’ve only ever taken yoga on the South Shore, so I’m not familar with those areas. Sorry!
I forget, do you not drink cow’s milk? Also, whenever I do downward dog, I don’t really feel the effects or stretching aspect of it. I should probably google it because I do yoga occasionally but I can never figure it out.
I do, but not that often.
I’ve travelled all over the place (currently living in Sydney Australia) but one of the places I’ve always wanted to visit was Boston. It just looks so homey and comfortable.
I’ve only ever been to a couple of Yoga classes and I didn’t really enjoy myself. I’d love to love it because I hear it really helps stretch your running muscles. Was it love at first stretch for you??
What are your smoothie measurements (how much almond milk, yogurt, etc)? I’ve been trying to make smoothies at home, but they just turn out so blah!
