An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Over the weekend, I fell in love with tarragon. (What a weird thing to say, right?) It was added to a salad at dinner on Saturday night, which gave the whole dish an amazing flavor, so now I am in love with it. Maybe I just didn’t realize that I liked tarragon so much? I’m just glad that it’s now on my radar, and I can use it to spice up my meals whenever I want.


For lunch, I made an egg white omelet with asparagus, mozzarella, tarragon, salt, and pepper. The combo of flavors was excellent.

On the side, I had some spinach sautéed in Garlic Gold oil with red pepper flakes sprinkled on top. Red pepper flakes are where it’s at!! They add some serious heat!

I went to BodyPump this morning. Before and after class, I snacked on a Pumpkin-Quinoa Muffin (recipe coming soon).

This morning, Kath‘s “Home Neat Home” series inspired me to organize my workout gear, which was a total nightmare. Of course, it wasn’t organized, but it was also all over the place. I kept my sports bras and socks in my closet in the guest room and my tops and bottoms in my dresser in the master bedroom. This arrangement made no sense and had me walking back and forth to get dressed for a workout. It was so annoying.

So, I took a quick trip to CVS to pick up some organizers that I saw the other day.

I spent $20 and it was totally worth the investment.

Having everything nice and neat made getting dressed for the gym almost enjoyable this morning! 😉

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being super organized), how organized are you?

I’d give myself an 8. For the most part, I have a system that works well for organizing my life. I know where things are, but, sometimes, they just don’t look organized, like my workout gear. Eventually, it drives me nuts and I go into super organize mode.



  1. I love tarragon! I especially like it on fish with lemon juice – usually tilapia or cod or something like that. Your omelette sounds grand! Organization-wise, I’d say I’m around a 7. I can’t stand clutter, but there are some areas of my house (and my car!) that get a bit out of hand sometimes!

  2. Mmm. I love tarragon. Deb at SmittenKitchen has a great recipe for chicken salad with dried cranberries and tarragon. Soooo yummy!

  3. I used to be a 10.

    After having a child, I am still a 10 with my stuff, a 9 around the house, and an 8 on keeping her things organized.

    4 year olds tend to un-organize their stuff, quite quickly 🙂 but honestly, she’s a little neat freak mini-me. lol

    Congrats on getting all your workout items organized!!!!!! Such a great feeling!

  4. Ugh, I’m a 1, maybe 1.5. I organize things, but I don’t keep it up and I hate reorganizing things. I do usually know where most things are, but it doesn’t look pretty 🙂

  5. I would definitely give myself an 8. I love organization (my sister says I love it too much…) but I also love a good thorough re-organization/purge so sometimes I’ll let things pile up just so I can take a couple hours to clean everything out and make everything pretty. My famly doesn’t understand. 😀

  6. I would say that I’m at 8 too when it comes to organizing. I love stores like Staples and the Container Store.

    Love those colors too! Those were my wedding colors. 🙂

  7. My mom doesn’t like rosemary (she says it tastes like shes eating the landscaping outside, which I get — but anyway) so she ALWAYS subs tarragon in for recipes with rosemary. It completely changes it — but we love it!

  8. Id say I’m an 8.5! I could be more organized if I had more space or resources or cleaner roommates that didn’t undo everything all the time 😉

    Also, I’m SO looking forward to that quinoa and pumpkin recipe because we’re moving in about 1.5 month and we are trying to eat our food and I have some frozen pumpkin that’s been there since the fall and some quinoa that I bought ages ago to try and still haven’t tried.

  9. I’m probably a 5 or 6. I try to keep all visible areas organized so I don’t look like slob when I entertain, but my closet and drawers are a wreck. Out of sight out of mind, so it doesn’t really bother me…except for when I lose something. 😉

  10. I say Im a 6, Im pretty organized BUT I do have my days when its just like, ok lets just throw everything all over : p

  11. I’m probably a 7 on the organized scale. However, I really hate tarragon. It tastes like black licorice to me, which I also hate. I’ve tried to like it, but I’ve given up.

  12. Honestly, I would say an 8. I have to have everything in its place to feel sane. My roommates live like farm animals though, so I have learned to relax a little this year though.

  13. I would say I’m pretty similar to you, although lately I’ve been a big ol’ slacker about cleaning/organizing. I do have an affinity for organizing products like those cute bins or The Container Store or Staples. Nerds!

  14. those bins are super cute! I love being organized. i cant wait to be in my new house so i can spread out. being cramped in my temporary living arrangement is driving me bonkers!

  15. I’d really like to say I’m well-organized, but I’m not. I’m not messy or forgetful, but my spaces tend to get cluttered. (We have a small apartment!) One of my recent priorities is to buy more space-saving organizers, etc. for our closets and desk. It would really eliminate the chaos that is my armoire…

    I’d have to give myself a 5 on the organized scale.

  16. I go between a 3 and an 8 on the organization scale… I function much better when I’m closer to 7. I have random Styrofoam wig heads with wigs taking up most of my closet space, while my one tiny workout gear drawer is exploding. It’s time to get some organizing bins. I am really inspired by this post, my life just functions better when I’m organized. Even my workouts are better and I reach goals faster.

  17. I have to say after having my third child, I’m very unorganized. I give myself a 5 or a 6. I’m just patiently waiting for the terrible two stage to end and my little guy is only 16 months old! The other two boys are getting better at helping me organize their stuff or else they can’t play video games on the weekend! 😉

  18. I am organized but my problem is the out of sight out of mind issue. When I fold everything nicely and put it all away I tend to forget about the items on the bottom and just wear the same things over and over. I do this with real clothes too. I just forget about all the other clothes I own. Then when I dig around and I find something I am like sweet and that gets recycled to the top of the pile and then the cycle continues. I am so weird.

  19. I am a 10 (yeah, I am the person that can’t go to sleep with even a pillow on the coach out of place), but my husband is 2 – which drops my house to a 6. The hubby is lucky he is so darn cute or I would have to take up separate quarters. 😉
