Over the weekend, I fell in love with tarragon. (What a weird thing to say, right?) It was added to a salad at dinner on Saturday night, which gave the whole dish an amazing flavor, so now I am in love with it. Maybe I just didn’t realize that I liked tarragon so much? I’m just glad that it’s now on my radar, and I can use it to spice up my meals whenever I want.

Lunch

For lunch, I made an egg white omelet with asparagus, mozzarella, tarragon, salt, and pepper. The combo of flavors was excellent.

On the side, I had some spinach sautéed in Garlic Gold oil with red pepper flakes sprinkled on top. Red pepper flakes are where it’s at!! They add some serious heat!

Snack

I went to BodyPump this morning. Before and after class, I snacked on a Pumpkin-Quinoa Muffin (recipe coming soon).

This morning, Kath‘s “Home Neat Home” series inspired me to organize my workout gear, which was a total nightmare. Of course, it wasn’t organized, but it was also all over the place. I kept my sports bras and socks in my closet in the guest room and my tops and bottoms in my dresser in the master bedroom. This arrangement made no sense and had me walking back and forth to get dressed for a workout. It was so annoying.

So, I took a quick trip to CVS to pick up some organizers that I saw the other day.

I spent $20 and it was totally worth the investment.

Having everything nice and neat made getting dressed for the gym almost enjoyable this morning! 😉

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being super organized), how organized are you?

I’d give myself an 8. For the most part, I have a system that works well for organizing my life. I know where things are, but, sometimes, they just don’t look organized, like my workout gear. Eventually, it drives me nuts and I go into super organize mode.

  1. mmm…I fall in love with spices all the time (that’s why my blog is called the Spiced Plate!) and tarragon is a lovely herb to fall in love with. Some of my best friends are Ginger and Basil.

    I’m organized in my head, but it doens’t look like it if you go into my art studio!

  2. I’d give myself an 8 too, most of the time I am organized, but occasionally when I get busy my room gets messy… well let’s be honest it sometime looks like a bomb went off. But I always clean it up that week.

  3. Probably and 8! I love being organized and I think i’m just nuerotic enough to annoy my boyfriend and our flat mate.

  4. I’m about an 8/9. Everything for the most part has a spot, and sometimes closets/drawers get cluttered or the dishes aren’t done but other than that everything is in order. I am sure not having roommates is the reason for this. 🙂

  5. I saw these containers at CVC and LOVED them! Now you are making me want to go back and buy them…gave me a reason to use them 🙂

  6. Unfortunately I would give myself a 2 or a 3… I am constantly losing stuff (currently I cannot find my ipod.) I have a hard enough time working out, getting to work on time, getting food on the table for my son and boyfriend etc. I need professional help LOL
