I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

I admit it. Sometimes I struggle to keep my priorities straight.⁠⠀
Especially when I’m short on time or low on energy. Between being a wife, a mom, a coach, and a blogger, my days get pretty hectic!⁠⠀
I try to get to the gym on most days. I really do! But sometimes, I just can’t. And I don’t want to make excuses. ⁠⠀
On those days I’ll usually just workout at home. ⁠⠀

A sequence of jumping jacks, some squats, a few push-ups or burpees…and then I realized that if I had a workout routine to follow in the gym, I needed one at home too.⁠⠀

  1. Oh! I tried. But my problem is unless I am in the gym and see all those folks sweating away I just can’t seem to motivate myself to lift the dumbbells or do jumping jacks. So even if it takes me 20 minutes to get to the gym, I just go there most days and don’t beat myself up on the days I can’t make it. I don’t want to feel guilty about something I love to do otherwise.
