What a beautiful morning! It’s cool and crisp, yet bright and sunny. It’s the perfect fall day. I can’t wait to go outside and enjoy this wonderful weather. Fall in Boston is my favorite season. There’s nothing better.
Breakfast
I woke up with a grumbling stomach, so I headed straight for the kitchen to make breakfast. I started with a couple of pieces of Manna bread with Teddie peanut butter spread on top.
I also drank a smoothie made with banana, strawberries, shredded zucchini, ground flaxseed meal, and vanilla soymilk.
Smoothies are so delicious. Why don’t I drink them more often?!
Actually, I know why I don’t drink smoothies more often. I hate cleaning up the mess. I’m so lazy sometimes.

Wow! Congrats on being published! If there’s one thing I miss about Boston it’s the Fall. And for a few years I lived out in Lenox in the Berkshires; the colors on the trees! I miss foliage, lol!

Congrats on the published recipe!
I’m with you on the smoothies– love ’em but hate cleaning blenders, haha.
I’ve been baking your cookies all over the place! Sooooo tasty.
Fall is my favorite season, too. The crispness of the air combined with the colorful leaves and delicious seasonal produce makes it a winning time of year.
That’s the same reason I don’t make smoothies more often. I hate cleaning the blender afterward!
Congratulations on being published! I’m going to try your cookie recipe soon!
Congrats on being a real life published author! That is definitely so exciting….and those cookies look amazing!
Congratulations! And soon you’ll be a real book author, too. So exciting for you!
Congrats–I love to hear about all the fun opportunities that come your way! š
I’ve found the easiest way to clean a blender is add a drop of dish soap, half a blender-full of warm water, put the lid back on, and run the blender! Dump out the soap, rinse, and ta-da! This has usually worked for me, except with uber-sticky stuff, (hummus, nut butter, etc.)
I placed an order for manna bread after seeing a picture of your breakfast. Yum. Congrats on being published – looking forward to trying out the recipe.
I am the same way w/ smoothies!!
I am so happy for you that your recipe was published in such a beautiful book! Congrats!
That cookbook looks wonderful! SO COOL that you have a recipe in it – and such a yummy-looking one! š
What is manna bread and Teddie PB? I’m assuming Teddie PB is simply the brand, but just wondering…have you tried Better ‘n Peanut Butter, which is about 1/2 the fat and calories of most normal natural peanut butters? It’s delicious, but does have to be refridgerated, which minimizes the room temp creamy goodness I love about PB!
@Tara: Yep, I’ve Better āĖN Peanut Butter. I don’t like it.
