If it was possible to punch snow, I’d punch it in the facehole! π
This 3-day forecast makes me want to do terrible things to it! πΏ
I’m actuallyΒ to the point where I’m done complaining about the snow. Obviously, it sucks and I am totally sick ofΒ dealing with it, but what is whining going to do about it?Β I mean, if my bitching melted snow, it would all be gone by now! π
So, when Mal suggested going to the gym this afternoon, I was all about it. I changed into workout gear, bundled up, and braved the snow.
Ok, well, Mal did all of the hard work. I just got chauffeured to and from the gym.
But, seriously, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate my husband and his endless snow shoveling. I’d be stuck inΒ the house all winter longΒ if it wasn’t for him!
Workout
At the gym, I hopped on the treadmill and did this 45-minute walking interval workout. Once I completed it, I hit the elliptical for 25 minutes. While peddling away, I stumbled upon two of my favorite bloggers in the magazines that I was reading:
The Pioneer Woman in Ladies Home Journal (February 2011)!
And Kath in the October 2008 issue of Shape. Random, right? This issue just happened to be at my gym today!
Lunch
For lunch, I had a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese on one side and peanut butter on the other.
I also had some leftover roasted broccoliand a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Larabar.
See ya for dinner!Β

WINTER BLOWS!!!!!
My mind is blown by how much snow you guys have! Geez! I’ll try to send a heat wave up your way!
Those Larabars are my weakness! I need to make the Peas and Thank you version, much cheaper!
Yikes, good luck with all that white stuff π
Hi! I’m guilty of being a blog lurker… I read your blog almost daily and never comment. So here I am! That snow in the northeast is insane! I tried roasted broccoli the other day and loved it. It’s definitely the best way to do broccoli.
Oh my! Your pictures are making me nervous! I am supposed to be on business travel to Boston this weekend. Yikes!!!
Oh my! I do NOT miss that kind of weather!
stay warm!!!!!!!!!!
I love reading ladymags on the elliptical! π
I love PW…I’ll have to go check out that magazine!
And I’m with you…so OVER the cold weather!
Love the face Tina! lol! Pretty much sums up your hate for snow ; )
We are getting snow here and hail! Its horrible right now! Def staying in and we have a blizzard warning until tomorrow night ; p
Stay safe and warm! xo
It’s actually coming up North tomorrow (Quebec). We are waiting for a whole bunch with winds and bad visibility. Coming in to work tomorrow will be a assle. Like you, I am already tired of it. I’m just glad there’s only 28 days in February.
Ugh….I don’t know how I’d deal with all that snow. I doubt I’d ever leave the house.
Eep! I know what you mean about the snow! If we didn’t have it-we’d probably be complaining that we didn’t have a snowy winter!
mmm choc chip cookie dough larabar!!!!
Well here in Ft. Lauderdale i woke up and it was prob 65… by mid-day 78. Love the winter! π
Haha, your face in that first pic is hilaaaaaarious! A part of me sometimes wishes for snow so I can have an excuse to snuggle in front of a fire and relax!! Oh well, I guess that’s what ski vacations are for, right?
Hi Tina!
I live in the Boston Area (Jamaica Plain) and was wondering where you took Body Pump classes. I really want to try them out.
Thanks!
Laurie
Healthworks and Mount Auburn Club offer Body Pump. You can also go on the Body Pump (Les Mills) website and search for class locations.
Thanks!!!
i’m going to try that walking workout asap! i’m sick of the cold weather, so i’ve been using the treadmill a whole lot more! also, i recently found out i’m pregnant, so i’ve been walking a little more than running π
I am 100% with you on the snow/ cold/ crappy weather! The weather in Denver is so frigid right now that our high was -2 today! A HIGH?! Even though it was so bitter, I woke up and went to 6:30 am spin class. It totally changed my mood for the rest of the day. π I am still sick of the cold weather.
I’m in Philly and we have had so much ice and snow this year that I am TOTALLY ready to karate kick winter right into the face. Is it spring yet?
I feel your pain! I live in the midwest and we have a bad storm coming tonight all the way through tomorrow evening.
We really need to add our weather together and then average it out. It’s too hot here, but I also don’t want snow! π
We for real have the SAME blog post title tonight – I almost peed my pants when I saw that. We are right in the middle of snowmageddon over here in Chicago. It’s a wicked storm.
Oh I’d love to read that article about the Pioneer WOman
I am getting sick of the snow too…but I am a teacher so I heart snow days!
I know how you feel about the snow… I’m SO over New England right now. !!!
Wow! That is a crazy amount of snow. We are supposed to get hit up here in Ontario tonight, so I may feel your pain in the morning π
sorry about the snow! i was really worried my hubby wouldn’t make it back from the east coast (he made it out on the last seat on the last flight out from JFK this morning!) it was really stressing me out!
Holy cow. I’d never go anywhere if I had to shovel myself out of the driveway every day!
Your frustrated snow face is pretty dang cute… I’m sorry so have to deal with such a huge and constant dumping of snow!
It sounds like most states in the 48 are being dumped right now! You might as well be up here in the AK π
Go tromp around with Murphy in the snow, or make snow angels, or snow ball fight! Gotta make the best of it right?
We’re getting a huge snowstorm here too! Want to send Mal over to do my shoveling for me? π
We are going through this same situation here in Indiana. Blizzard warning in effect until late tomorrow night. Snow measurable in feet, says the weatherman. Ugh! Like you, I’m so sick of winter and wonder why I live here, but I do and just have to look at the bright side: February is a short month, so yea for that!
Ok this is going to sound REALLY weird. . .but here goes. . .I LOVE winter. I can’t get enough of it. I live in Jackson Wyoming where our winters are usually 7-8 months long and I’m always sad when it’s over. It’s already starting to stay lighter longer and it makes me sad that spring is on the way. I am jealous of all of the snow you guys are getting. Although we’ve had a GREAT winter and are way above average for snowfall. I grew up in Idaho so winters are something that remind me of childhood and skiing and sledding. Maybe you should take up cross country skiing. It is an amazing workout and SO good for you! Try to enjoy the winter instead of hating it so much. Maybe if you took up more winter activities it would change your whole perspective. The good new about cross country skiing is it’s super easy to pick up.
Major props for going to the gym in all that! I would have said “see you when the snow melts” and be done with it!
This snow is definitely getting OLD!! I hear ya!
Oh, wow, I didn’t know Kath was in SHAPE! Somehow I missed that…hmm.
Your snow looks crazy. I’m glad they let us go early from my conference to come home. Next time when the snow is gone we’ll get together π
I cant get over how much snow you have. Its insanity.
So here is my very first carrots n cake comment…I am in love with your pooch and would really enjoy some cuddle time with a handsome pug!!!!
I totally feel ya. Chicago is also experiencing a snowmageddon! We are supposed to get 24 inches over here…..yuck! The howling winds don’t help either.
This winter has been super rough! Every little storm is so drawn out!
Hey Tina. I started running two years ago this spring and I absolutly love it. I don’t know what I did before running! Anyway, running made me feel like exploring new ways of exercise-especially in the winter. I live in Southern Alberta and the snow you have is pretty normal for us. And I LOVE it!! Seriously I know its easier said than done-but try and enjoy it!! go snowshoing or cross country skiing-amazing workouts! You can get shorter snow shoes that are made for running. Don’t have to worry about cleared paths just go where ever.
I guess I just came to the conclusion that theres nothing I can do about weather-so I might as well enjoy it:) THink positive:) Love ya!!
Wow! Crazy snow pictures! Is that normal?? Sorry to hear it’s been such a tough winter out there….It looks pretty but I know it’s not fun dealing with it on a daily basis…..hopefully spring is right around the corner.
I hear ya! Today I want to punch ice in the face…i’m so over winter. π
That is a lot of snow! I cannot stand it between snow and ice! Although this morning, I would rather have snow, than all of the ice I had to deal with.
Come on down to Charlotte, it’s 60 degrees here today!
The newsletter version of the blog came in all messed up just FYI. Not sure if everyone’s did or if it’s a gmail issue on my end.
As for the snow…. it’s about time someone OTHER than Erie PA & Buffalo NY area got it all the time! LOL We are however kinda stranded inside w/ice hitting us, then snow, then ice, now snow again. I’m not sure what to expect on the roads but it’s blowing bad! Keep warm!
OMG there’s me!!!!!! HOW RANDOM!!! π
