Hi, there!
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to spend the day with 25 other bloggers, celebrating the launch of the Albertsons Companies Signature family of brands. During the event, we tasted, experienced, and enjoyed various Signature products firsthand in a relaxing and fun (!!) setting.
The Signature lineĀ includes more than 4,000 items- from coffee and juice, soup to cereal, fresh produce to fried chicken, and delicious prepared foods to paper towels among other home staples. Signature products are exclusive to and carried by all banners of theĀ Albertsons storesĀ at an exceptional value. (FYI: I buy my Signature products at my local Shaws and Star Market stores, and you can also find them at all Albertsons Companies grocery stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, ACME, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, United Express and United.)Ā The Signature brand includes products across six sectors: Signature Select, Signature Kitchens, Signature Farms, Signature Cafe, Signature Home, and Signature Care.
The event was held at aĀ beautiful private residenceĀ of a well-known photographer in the Hollywood Hills.
And, oh my gosh, the house was gorgeous, both inside and out!
The day kicked off with a coffee bar featuring Kona Blend coffee from the Signature Select line.
I added a little sugar-free caramel flavoringĀ (a singleĀ drop went a long way), which gave my coffee just the right amount of sweetness.
Of course, I made an iced version!
Breakfast was an avocado toast bar, complete with freshly grilled French bread, bacon, honey, red pepper flakes, and other tasty toppings, all from the Signature line.
Isn’t an avocado toast bar such a great idea?!
Hazelnut spread + bacon? I didn’t think of that combo until right now, but I wish I had tried it.
After breakfast, we enjoyed a cooking demonstration and culinary trends discussion with Executive Chef Jeff AndersonĀ of Albertsons Companies Culinary Kitchens and Technical Center. (He’s also a fellow pug lover.) Chef JeffĀ showed us how to make his Signature Chicken Marinade (recipe below) andĀ shared a number of delicious ways to make it your own with regard to ingredients (i.e. raspberry jam, honey mustard) and how you use it (i.e. glaze on fish).
Chef Jeff’s Signature Chicken Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Signature Kitchens Orange Marmalade
- 1-3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (to taste)
- 1/2 cup Signature Kitchens Soy Sauce
- 1 cup Signature Farms 100% Orange Juice
- 2 tablespoons Signature Kitchens Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
Directions: Whisk ingredients together and use immediately or refrigerate for later use.
Tip: Chef Jeff says he’ll marinate 15 chicken breasts overnight at once and then pop them in the freezer for future use.
Next up was making our own flatbread pizzas from dough made from Signature ingredients (i.e. flour, sugar, salt).
Hanging out with other bloggers is truly the best. We get each other.
Grilled flatbread pizza? Yes, please!
Then, we topped our crusts withĀ tastyĀ ingredientsĀ from the Signature line.
I went with pesto, butternut squash, arugula, bacon, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar. Yummmm!
Lunch al fresco!
After lunch, Tiffani Thiessen arrived and chatted with us about her cooking show, motherhood, and herĀ Saved by the Bell days.
Some highlights:
- She brought her 9-month old son to the event because she’s breast feeding. She actually stepped away mid-event to feed her little guy.
- She’s still friends withĀ Mark-Paul Gosselaar (aka Zack Morris) and recently had him as a guest on her cooking show.
- The food served atĀ The Max on Saved by the Bell was from a random 24-hour restaurantĀ around the corner from the studio.
- Her family owns 6 rescue chickens.
- She has a cookbook coming out soon.
- She was a vegetarian for 15 years before she gotĀ pregnant. She told us a story about being in aĀ prenatal yoga class one day and the smell of In ‘N’ Out burger nearby made her crave a burger in a major way. After that, she started eating meat on the regular. That was 6 years ago and she hasn’t looked back.
- She loves cooking, but she doesn’t cook for her family every night.
- She learned how to cook from her mom. One of Tiffani’sĀ favorite recipes is her mom’s Cream Cheese Pie.
- Her favorite quickie meals to cook for her family are pasta and BLTs.
- One of her favorite cooking tips is preheating her baking sheets before using them. That way, the food doesn’t stick.
After chatting for quite awhile, we moved to the kitchen and Tiffani made us all dessert. (I totally snapped the photo below to show you guys her shoes. Aren’t they amazing?! And within minutes of the event wrapping up, she changed into flip flops. Love that. It’s something I would totally do!)
I love this ice cream sandwich hack from TiffaniĀ and just had to share: Buy a container of ice cream and then slice it into pieces for the perfect size cookie filling.
Tiffani made each one of us an ice cream sandwich using different flavors and (incredible) chocolate chip cookies from the Signature Select line.
She also rolled each one in chopped nutsĀ for an extra special touch.
Mine hadĀ butter pecan ice cream inside. OMG, it was heavenly.
I am totally making these soon. They are so easy!
Tiffani also shared another dessert favorite: Signature Affogato (aka ice cream with freshly brewed coffee poured over the top). Mmm… love this idea too!
The event concluded with a goodbye toast and photos with Tiffani.
She snapped a photo (or two) with every blogger andĀ even stayed after the event to chat some more. Even though she’s a famous celebrity, TiffaniĀ seemed very down-to-earth as both a mom and home cook.
Thank you, Albertsons, for such an amazing experience. I absolutely loved the event and Signature products, and I can’t wait to explore them some more in the future!

That looks like such a cool event! I’ve seen Tiffani’s show and she definitely comes off as very down to earth and it’s nice to hear that’s how she is off the camera too- really makes me miss Saved By the Bell, they should really do a reunion show!
Gorgeous house, fabulous food and so glad you snapped that picture of Tiffani’s shoes!
What a fun experience! Hopefully you scored some good food to take home with you too!
I love her show!
Dying! I love her shoe and of course am a fan from SBTB. Giada is another favorite chef.
Such a fun event!!!
That looks awesome! Huge fan of Tiffani. (and those shoes tho!) So awesome that she doesn’t let work stop her from breastfeeding her babe. I also love Alyssa Milano as a mom celebrity, she’s so fearless with her support of moms on social media, especially with breastfeeding pictures.
Looks like you had a super awesome time!!
Did she eat her dessert? Lol
So amazing! Such a big fan! What an amazing experience! Everything looks so amazing and delicious!
Wow, what an amazing event! š Looks so fun!
Wow that looks like such a great event! I love Tiffani. She seems so sweat!
How awesome is that!!! Tiffany seems like such a nice person!
Giada is my favorite chef! I just love all of her cooking shows.
How did you discover this event?
And this house, I’d buy it in a heartbeat just for that living room. I love how naturally lit it is.
Ahhhh, so cool!
What a lovely event. The food looks amazing. So glad you had such a nice experience. xo Lauren
Looked like so much fun! Side note – your arms are amazing, can you share what you do to tone them like that?
Thanks! CrossFit and KFIT!
I LOVE Tiffani’s cooking show! She makes amazing looking food, but it all looks simple enough and user-friendly enough that we could all cook it. She seems like so much fun to be around, and a great hostess. Tiffani is probably my favorite celebrity chef, but Rev Run’s cooking show is pretty great too. I see the signature line at Fred Meyer’s or Safeway out here in Washington.
She’s so beautiful! What a great experience to be in her presence! I just love how real she seems. She’s quickly becoming a new fave to watch on tv! But I’m a huge fan of Ree Drummond – all her food looks amazing! I’d love to go to her ranch and have lunch or dinner with her!
I’ve actually never seen her show and I’m SO curious as I loved Tiffani growing up!
Looks like you had such a great time and what an awesome experience!
I cant tell you how happy it makes me to think her & “Zach” are still friends š
My kinda gal that switches to flip flops.
An Avacado Toast bar is GENIUS!
looks awesome and like such a fun event! i haven’t seen the signature brand out there yet!
Ah, I loved Tiffani growing up! She was always my girl crush āā I wanted to look just like her! š
We’re planning a brunch open house/housewarming in a few weeks and I am definitely adding a toast bar with grilled french bread and fun toppings!
Such a cool celebrity moment. I actually LOVE Tiffany from 90210.
I definitely watched a lot of Saved by the Bell as a kid, but now I’m actually obsessed with Dinner at Tiffani’s! I think I’ve seen every episode…guilty! She just always has the cutest themes and matches her outfits to whatever the theme is and I like seeing who she brings on as a guest. It’s a great cooking show!
I want to live in that house. Seriously. My kids would RUIN it, but it’d be real swanky for about 3 minutes.
This sounds like so much fun! I don’t know if she is my favorite celebrity chef, but I like how simple Trisha Yearwood’s recipes are. š
Sounds like a wonderful trip! All the food looks great. Especially that pizza you made!
What a great event, how fun! Lots of fun pics, thanks!
My favorite celebrity chef now is the Pioneer Woman – funny, real life rancher wife with yummy recipes! My favorite tv Mom now is Claire Dunphy on Modern Family – our kids are same age and she’s slightly crazy! We don’t have Albertsons here (Oahu) but do have Safeway Signature – it’s great!
Wow, what a beautiful house and what a great event to be able to attend. That’s neat that she’s so friendly. I have seen the Signature Selection line, and have even bought some of the low fat ice cream. I don’t have any favorite celebrity moms.
That’s my stepsister’s (Amy Neunsinger) house! Small world.
Wow, how fun! Huge Tiffani fan growing up. Love that you got to meet her. I didn’t know she had a cooking show. I will have to check it out.
I would have totally geeked out, I’m a huge SBTB fan! That house is gorgeous and the ice cream sandwiches look delicious.
