Sibling Rivalry is located in the South End of Boston, so this giveaway is mostly for the locals”” unless you’re willing to travel! Sibling Rivalry is pretty awesome!

  1. My family is unique because my mom is Norwegian and my dad is American. We celebrate the best of both countries and get to say cheers with funny Norwegian accents. Skaal!

  2. My family is unique because even though we are all in different areas of the country we are extrememly close and have a ton of fun when together.

  3. What makes my family unique is that we live all over the place! Most of my side of family live in Japan, my husband’s live in Boston, NC, FL, and NY.

  4. My family is unique because I swear all of the adults (we call all of our actual parents and aunts and uncles, “The parents”) act more like kids than all of us kids (cousins/siblings/etc). The Parents actually came up with and arranged a beer pong tournament at our last Thanksgiving – it included family t-shirts and a trophy! 🙂

  5. My family is unique in that we each have different dietary preferences or restrictions.
My dad is a vegetarian that loves green juices, spicy food and nuts and prefers soy dairy products. My mom loves seafood and fruit juices, hates spicy food and green juice and doesn’t like soy dairy products. My brother prefers red meat and starch. I am allergic to nuts, love spicy food and willing to eat most anything preferably local & organic and my husband follows suit (as he has little choice in the matter!).
Somehow, we are able to eat together once a week and everyone leaves the dinner table satisfied!

  6. my family is unique because we have a great balance between acting as friends and relatives. Also, my father loves Lady GaGa and he is constantly sharing new music with me!

  7. My family is unique because while all our friends think we’re a little bit crazy, each one of us is proud of the fact that actually, we’re a little closer to insane 🙂

  8. My family is unique because we are Jewish and my mother converted. It has allowed us to learn a Lot about different traditions and relate to many different backgrounds!

  9. My family drives me crazy sometimes, but I know they will always be there for me no matter what. And my sister and I are totally opposite in some ways, but she’s also my closest friend.

  10. My family is unique because of our vastly different occupations: I work in politics, my brother works for the NBA (awesome, I know), my dad develops herbicides, and my mother does fundraiser for a university!

  11. My family is unique because our dog sits in the front seat on road trips! He clearly doesn’t understand that he is a dog.

  12. My family is unique because we have weird words for everything — “booper” for the car keys, “fuzzy” for fleece jacket, etc. 🙂

  13. my sister and i have some serious ESP moments – we will call our mom at the exact same time, or even comment on each others blogs at the same time! she lives on the east coast and i am on the midwest, so our time together is really special!

  14. My family if unique because my sister and I can polish off a 5 course meal at a fancy restaurant and still be down for some street pizza right after!

  15. My family is unique because we can argue for hours, and love it! With my sister, bro-in-law, 3 cousins, aunt and uncle all being lawyers, our “discussions” get heated reaaal fast.

  16. My family is unique because although my parents are divorced, they still get along great! I don’t think I’d have the awesome relationship that I do with my dad if it weren’t for the divorce, and it’s nice to have parents that can converse and be social together.

  17. My family is unique because whenever one of us has a birthday, we all sing “Happy Birthday to You” in the most horrible, off-key way possible even though we all have good voices and could harmonize together if we wanted. I’m not sure how it came about initially but now we try to be worse and worse each birthday that comes around! My brother-in-law calls us weird, but I prefer unique! 😛

  18. My family is unique because we’re super blunt with each other… I can have a screaming fight with my sister one minute and then see what she wants to do for dinner. It used to scare my husband… he doesn’t get that we just got everything out of our system and are ready to move on 🙂
    Love Sibling Rivalry!

  19. My family is unique because we trade off cooking meals, and helping each other clean up! Always new ideas 🙂

  20. My family is unique in that we are pretty open with each other about most things…especially my mom and me! 🙂

  21. I’ve lived with my sister (besides growing up) for a year in college and a year after we both graduated, and we loved it!

  22. What makes my family unique is that we all went to UW-Whitewater. This May I will be the 8th person to graduate from UW-Whitewater!

  23. My family is unique because we’re actually pretty big. There’s 7 of us in my immediate family and then my mom is one of 10 and my dad one of 5. Yea, there’s always something (or should I say someone…) to talk about 😉

  24. I think what makes us unique is there are 4 daughters and between the oldest to the youngest there is 18 years difference and we live in the houses our grandparents and parents lived in

  25. My family is unique because there are a lot of us! I have around thirty cousins and I love getting together with them!

  26. It is hard to write about how YOUR family is unique- because I really can’t think of two families that are exactly the same. My family is unique to me because it took them moving away for me to realize how important they were to me. Luckily- they all missed me too much and moved back 🙂

  27. My family is unique because I have a half brother and sister that are 8 and 5. We are nearly 17 and 20 years apart but love them just the same.

  28. my family’s really unique because my parents came from opposite cultures, both very ethnic — catholic irish and armenian!

  29. My family is unique because we’ve moved over 20 times in my lifetime, but 15 of those moves were in Hong Kong. 😛 We love moving and now my parents live in Shanghai while I live in Boston! And my brother lives in Malibu.

  30. We each have quirky nicknames for each other, sometimes, we don’t even know who each of us is referring to!!! 🙂
