my family is unique because like your family, my mom is a single mom and we’re more like friends than mother-daughter. I feel like a mother to my brother and sister, but it works, and I love my family as it is!
My family is unique because we never ever raise our voices at eachother. When we get annoyed we just leave the room and cool off. My parents never yelled at me, and in turn I don’t yell at anyone either!

How fun! My family is unique because we always support each other in our various endeavors. Someone has a concert/game/exhibit/talent/new venture/job etc. we are there cheering them on no matter what 🙂
Ah! my grandfather lived in the building above for awhile and I always wanted to check this place out but they were so damn faithful to hammersleys bistro! (which is def. awesome as well)…. but I still want to try SR!
My family is unique because we’re all aware of what each other is working on – perhaps struggling with – personally, and we’re usually able to find a balance in dealing with it – making fun of each other to lighten the mood when it makes sense to do so, and providing support and compassion when the situation calls for it.
One thing that makes us unique: my hubby and I bought my in-laws house. Makes doing home renovations easier knowing the previous owner so well!
If I won, I’d give this to my brother in law, who lives in the North End. He could use a nice night out after working so much!
My sister and her family live in africa running a non-profit, and my brother and his family are moving to guatemala… My family is spread around the world!
Our family and specifically my siblings and I (5 of us) 3 boys/2 girls get along famously! We are so very blessed! I am always sad to hear when fams don’t get along…My sister and I I have been saying a gathering at “sibling rivalry” would be a start to a fun night out together!
Yum!!! What makes my family unique is my mom. She is one tough broad and she has passed that on to her daughters. She’s not your typical mom, that’s for sure, but she really is a character and the subject of many legendary family stories. They always begin… “Remember the time when Mom….” and finish with things like “decided to re-wire a bathroom on her own?”
