After 3 hours of dress shopping for the Mother of the Bride, it was time to EAT! We were starving after all of our hard work finding my mom a dress (mission accomplished!), so we opted for a restaurant nearby in the mall. And since it was my sister’s birthday, we let her pick the place. She chose the Cheesecake Factory.

I’ve only been to the Cheesecake Factory once or twice at other locations, but this particular restaurant was basically the Cheesecake Factory mothership. It was HUGE! It actually reminded me of something you’d see in Las Vegas– the decor was totally over the top! And I was surprised that we had to wait 20 minutes for a table… at 8:00 pm… on a Wednesday night… in a recession!

When a basket of warm bread arrived at our table, I dug right in! I ended up eating 3 pieces, and it was divine.

For my entree, I ordered the French Country Salad: Mixed Greens, Grilled Asparagus, Fresh Beets, Goat Cheese, Candied Pecans, and Vinaigrette. (I ordered it without vinaigrette.)

The salad was pretty good. I loved the beets, asparagus, and goat cheese, but there wasn’t enough for my liking. I like hearty salads with lots of ingredients, but this one was mostly mixed greens. It wasn’t as satisfying as I had hoped. šŸ˜• I guess I should have ordered a regular size salad instead of an appetizer salad.

For dessert, my mom, sister, and I split a piece of Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple: Creamy Cheesecake Swirled with Caramel, Peanut Butter, Butterfingers, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Holy yum!

Good thing the three of us split the piece because it was so rich, we could barely eat more than a few bites each. I actually surprised myself!

I’m ex-haus-ted! I’m heading straight to bed. G’night!
