Hi, guys! I hope you had a lovely weekend! 🙂
Our was most definitely a whirlwind – lots of parties and get-togethers, but, of course, it was all fun stuff. I’m actually excited (!) to get back to work this week. I have so many awesome things on the agenda for the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020… it’s basically Carrots ‘N’ Cake 2.0! 🙂
So, let’s talk about some the of the shoes we’re loving lately in our house. I know… it’s kind of random, but when I was thinking about some of the “excitement” from the weekend, it related to our shoes! Haha!
First up are these sprinkle cupcake sneakers from Brooks. I mentioned them a few months ago (and my obsession with them), so I’m so glad I was able to partner with Zappos and finally get myself a pair. They are seriously the cutest sneakers ever, and I cannot wait to wear them to Orangetheory!
Just a quick FYI: These sprinkle sneakers are only available for a limited time on Zappos because of a special 20th anniversary sale, so I’d hop on it! There’s free shipping at Zappos both ways, so if they don’t fit or you don’t like them, you can always return them.
Next up are bear slippers that look like pug feet. I saw them in the dollar bins at Target for just $2.50, and I just couldn’t pass them up. Quinn thought they were so cool and has worn them non-stop ever since I gave them to him. Murphy isn’t so sure about them, but he appreciates the sentiment.
And, finally, we’re loving thredUP for new winter and rain boots. Quinn needs new pairs every years, so shopping at thredUP saves us money and time. Quality kids footwear can get really expensive, so thredUP is awesome for finding good name brands at an affordable price. (They also have a great return policy if they don’t fit!)
If you haven’t heard of thredUP, it’s an online consignment store that sells great quality second-hand clothing. While most previously owned, they’re all quality brand names, and some even come with the tags on them, so they are basically brand new!
I also wanted to share a quick video about one of our recent thredUP orders. I love to buy sweatpants and pajamas on thredUP. I mean, I’m mostly wearing them just bumming around at home and working from home, so I don’t want to spend a ton of money on them, yet still want to be comfy and stylish. thredUP is great for it because they have leisure and workout clothes from awesome brands like Lulelmon, Brooks, Nike J. Crew, and Victoria’s Secret for a fraction of the price.
I pretty much shop for ALL of Quinn’s clothes on thredUP because he goes through clothes so quickly, and it’s so easy to shop online. Quinn goes through pants like it’s his job. They always end up with holes in the knees, so I’m constantly on thredUP looking for pants – in his current size and a couple of sizes bigger, so he always has the option of growing into them.

This particular order was a lot of sweatpants for me that included brands like American Eagle and Abercrombie, and a bunch of stuff for Quinn, like his new winter shoes!
Another cool thing about thredUP is that the company tries to be as environmentally-friendly as possible by bundling clothes from the same warehouse (they have them all over) and shipping them to you (so a heads up that some packages do arrive at different times). And their return policy is super easy – all you do is go online and check what you want to return, and they will refund your money, no questions asked.
We’ve also sold a ton of clothes on ThredUP over the years. We’ve been customers since 2014 and actively purge our closets, so we’re sold 467 items and made $1059.92 to date. Not too shabby, right? It’s definitely worth checking out if you have name brand clothing that you want to sell!
I hope you guys enjoy this little show and tell!
