I’m halfway there!Β I can’t believe I just finished my 20th week of pregnancy. It’s crazy how quickly time is flying by!
CRAVINGS
Egg sandwiches (ALL THE TIME – seriously, it’s ridiculous), smoothies, green juice, fresh fruit (I’ve been into apples lately), yogurt with granola, ketchup on everything.
AVERSIONS
Same as before, but no new ones!
OTHER SYMPTOMS
Frequent urination: Not exaggerating, I’m probably peeing 20 times per day/night. I’m drinking a lot of water, but my bladder is so sensitive now. Everything makes me need to pee!
Morning sickness: I still feel sick at night, starting around 7:30/8:00 PM and getting worse until I go to bed. I’m starting to think I’m stuck with this symptom for my entire pregnancy, but I feel mostly fine during the day, so it definitely could be worse! Anyone else sick for their entire pregnancy?
Restless sleep: I pretty much wake up every couple of hours all night long. I usually just fall right back to asleep, but it’s still kind of annoying. A lot of the time, I need to pee, but other times I just wake up. I’m not really uncomfortable or anything like thatβΒ¦ I just wake up a lot. Maybe my body is getting ready for frequent feedings when Baby Haupert is here?
Weight gain: 24 pounds! I’m still ahead of the normal weight gain, but things have slowed down quite a bit. Speaking of weight gain, I finally caved in and bought some maternity clothes, which was the BEST decision ever! Seriously, why did I wait so long?!
Old Navy for the win!
WORKOUTS
I am still trucking along with mostly unmodified CrossFit workouts, but I might stop doing Burpees this week since they’re starting to feel a little weird (and they totally smoke my arms now that I do them so slowly).Β I think Squat Thrusts might be more my style now!

And the most exciting news of the past two weeks:Β Feeling Baby Haupert kick!
Well, it’s not full on kicking, but more of a βflutteringβΒ feeling that a lot of moms talk about. It feels like you have a little bit of gas or some butterflies in your stomach or even a brief muscle spasm inside your belly. I actually felt it a few times in week 19, but I wasn’t really sure if it was the baby moving or not. But, last week, it was happening a lot more often, so I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m feeling. He moves a little bit during the day and a whole lot at night right before bed. Mal even got to feel one of his kicks last week. Mal was equally excited/happy and weirded out at the same time. It’s sooo sci-fi!Β Haha!
That’s all for now.Β We have another ultrasound and doctor’s appointment at the beginning of next week, so I will have another blog update soon!
P.S. Be sure to enter my giveaway to win a $200 gift card to Target! I will pick a winner tomorrow!

You look awesome and I hope things continue to go well for you throughout the rest of your pregnancy! I chuckled at that Burpees/facebook joke. That’s pretty funny. Have a good one, Tina!
You look so great! It has been great to follow your journey so far and I feel just as excited for him to be here haha (I hope that is not weird!)
So awesome about the kicking!
Glad things are going well! I agree, I am 23 weeks and time is FLYING! And I pretty much experience the same stuff as you… Peeing a ton, restless sleep etc.! Feeling the baby move is incredible though π
Whoaaa I didn’t know it took until weeks 19/20 to feel the baby moving! that’s crazy. I cannot imagine something moving INSIDE me… haha
Those clothes from Old Navy look adorable! (and super comfortable!)
I really enjoy your recaps and you are a champ for sticking to your workouts!
I’ve heard from my mommy friend that waking up during the night is a biological thing to get you ready for when the baby arrives. No idea if there is truth but sounds reasonable! So amazing that you can feel the babes kicking! How cool!!
Maternity clothes are the best thing ever! Everyone waits forever to buy some and then they wonder why?!
Awww that’s so exciting that you can feel him move now!
Mom of 3 here, and with my last pg I was sick pretty much the whole time. I think I got 3 or 4 weeks ‘off’ from morning sickness somewhere near the end of the 2nd tri. Wasn’t fun, but you do what you’ve got to do, right?
And congrats on feeling your little one move. That’s the best part of pregnancy! Just wait until you can see those kicks from the outside. The number of hours I spend watching my baby belly instead of TV or whatever…. Sometimes I miss being pregnant, but not enough to have another one! lol
Definitely sleepless nights is natures way of preparing you for less sleep. Imagine if you went from 8+ hours of sleep per night uninterrupted to the nuttiness of newborn life. It sinks now, but is good. For the end of the day sickness for me peppermint or ginger tea helped. Well ginger anything – dried bits from trader joes, candies, ginger beer, tea etc. But peppermint seemed to also be calming. GOod luck!
Definitely the cuffed french terry pants and compression leggings in a fun pattern! I love Target π
That’s so exciting that Baby Haupert is kicking! My sister and friend were pregnant at the same time and it was always weird to feel kicking – cool and creepy at the same time!
That egg sandwich looks AMAZING! I know you want to share everything about it! How many eggs did you use? Are there veggies mixed in that? What kind of English muffin is that? You’re making me want one!
Instead of burpees, I do an up down! Just jump down to a plank, and then back up! Similar movement but definitely a lot easier on the belly!
I am 14 weeks pregnant and I’m feeling the same way about morning sickness. I feel pretty good all day long and then around 8 p.m. I start feeling awful again. The only thing that helps is just going to bed, so it’s definitely not just you!
Oh and I’m also having restless sleep, so again, definitely not just you. It is super frustrating though.
Isn’t feeling the baby move amazing? It’s my most favorite part of pregnancy! This is my 2nd pregnancy (just 22 weeks) and I felt the baby so much sooner this time, its the best!
And if I were you those egg sandwiches would be covered in ketchup π
I’m currently obsessed with Alexia waffle fries with an absurd amount of ketchup!
I am 24 weeks pregnant and I had morning sickness all day until I was 16 weeks, then I only had it at night. I thought I too would have morning sickness my entire pregnancy because of this, but right around 22 weeks I started to feel better at night too. There’s still hope! Praying that you feel better! π
Aren’t maternity clothes the best? Elastic pants are nothing to be ashamed of!
I was sick for most of my pregnancy, but things did get a lot better that last trimester…but by then I just had to pee every 3 minutes. Ha! The crazy part? My baby boy is just over 3 months old & I’ve already forgotten about most of that stuff…I remember being really sick all the time, but I look at Atlas (my son) & think, “oh, that wasn’t so bad…I could do that again.” They’re just so worth it!
I’m still feeling a little sick at the end of the day, too (21 weeks). Around 5 p.m. I get REALLY tired (because I too toss and turn allllll night) and a bit nauseous and it lasts until bedtime. I’ve been doing modified burpees by not going down into push-up position–just down into plank, kick feet back/out, then back in, while keeping my arms straight. It’s still a good workout and my arms are killing me from doing a ton the other day.
You look awesome! Total inspiration for if I ever have kids, cause I know I would want to stay just as active, like you are!
I love reading all your pregnancy updates Tina! I am all done having babies now so I have to enjoy others pregnancies! lol! Hope that doesn’t sound too stalker-ish! Anyway, you look great and I look forward to more pics and updates!
all those eggs are probably great for Baby Haupert!!
You’re such a cute pregnant girl! I love egg sandwiches with bacon and I’m not pregnant, ha!
You look great! Glad you got some maternity clothes, they really do make a difference π
I’ve not been pregnant myself, but my mom has often told me that she was sick all day, every day for the whole nearly 43 weeks (!!!) that she was carrying me… hopefully it goes away for you, or at least sticks to just the few evening hours!
I experienced a lot of sleepless nights so far and I’m only 11 weeks. I found most of the time I woke up was because of worrying/anxiety/excitement. I didn’t realize it at the time but after listening to some calming music at night/editating, taking a hot shower and basically letting my mind completely relax – I’m finally sleeping through the night. Hopefully you can find the same relief I did!
@amyloispie: Oops. I meant meditating! π
Really love your pregnancy updates! You look amazing! I’m not pregnant but I now have a craving for egg muffin sandwiches. They look SO good!
Aww, yay for the kicking! I can’t even imagine how amazing that must feel. I also love how you’re still so committed to fitness while pregnant. If I was pregnant, I’d probably use it as an excuse to just sit around & eat Ben & Jerry’s all day lol.
You are looking fabulous, Tina!! I’m interested to hear how your workouts change the farther along you get. And best of luck with the peeing – I go all of the time and am not pregnant, i can’t imagine how bad it is for you! π
Tina, you look great! I love following your updates. What type of sandwich rolls are you using for your egg sammies? Looks delicious…are they gluten free?
English muffins from Stop & Shop (not gluten-free)!
Yikes I seriously hope you start to feel better!
Okay those egg sandwich pictures are giving me some cravings! Looks like you got some cute stuff at Old Navy π I love that you are still working out a lot – I hope to have a active pregnancy if/when that happens. Looking good!
You look great! You’re gonna be so happy you took the week by week pictures. I have seen people who took a picture each day and it’s really nice.
Happy half-way there! You look great!
Congrats on your halfway point! Sorry you still feel sick π I’m 24 weeks now and when I was in the midst of my all day sickness, I had at least 4 moms tell me that they were sick the entttiiiire pregnancy. I thought that was the exception but I think it’s actually pretty common! Thank goodness mine went away around 13 weeks, but when I did have it, it was TERRIBLE. Like I didn’t move from the couch for 3 months. Finally my OB prescribed me some Zofran and I could actually go on living life again – so I took that about once a day for the last few weeks and it did the trick! I’ve also been doing the random wake up thing in the middle of the night! No apparent cause.. just waking up for no reason. So weird. Yay for baby kicks! That’s exciting! π
I’m definitely experiencing a lot of the same things! My nausea has gone away for the most part but I still have this weird feeling at night which feels like my dinner is just sitting in my throat. That is the best way I can explain it! It doesn’t feel like indigestion either. No idea what it is! I wake up several times a night, but only have to pee once. Not sure what that’s all about either. I pee at least once an hour at work and I think I may have felt a few kicks too but it’s hard to tell. I’m still hanging in there with CrossFit but I’ve modified my weights a little. Running on a treadmill has been tough because it makes my pelvis ache (what the!?) so I’ll either stick to outdoors, weather permitting, or just start briskly walking. Spin class just hasn’t been the same because I’ve lowered my base gear but I keep on going as long as I’m comfortable and still getting a good workout. OH, and if I don’t stop buying maternity clothes from Old Navy & Motherhood whenever they have their dang sales (pretty much every week), my baby might not have a college fund! LOL! I’ll be 20 wks on Monday and get to find out what we’re having! So exciting. Thanks for your recaps! Love them!
The angle of your 20 weeks pic makes your belly look smaller than the 18 week one. Tell Mal to get a better angle! π Love these recap posts and I would kill for one of those egg sandwiches right now!
Doing burpees fast is pretty awful, I can only imagine how they feel going slow-mo. Holy arm/chest burn! Btw your little baby bump is very cute!
Not sure if it feels like it is going fast for you, but I can’t believe you’re already halfway- exciting!
Kicks are by far my favorite part of pregnancy. I have not gained as much so far with this pregnancy as I did with my first, but I can feel my hunger levels really taking off, so I’m sure I’ll play catch up these next few weeks. I’m currently 24 weeks and can’t believe the 3rd tri is on the horizon. AH, crazy! π
Yay for kicking babies!!! I actually lucked out and never got sick when I was pregnant with Kenzer.
Awesome! Love reading your pregnancy updates π You look great!
You look great! SOrry about the night sicknessβΒ¦.ugh. I had it pretty bad until week 16, and then again starting at week 31, so I know how it can suck. Hang in there, most of the 2nd tri should be pretty awesome (more energy, less crappy symptoms)!
YAY for feeling him move. THat was one of my favorite parts of being pregnant–feeling her kick me π
Aww love it!
I can’t believe you are still doing crossfit at 20 weeks. That is amazing!!!
so fun to read these updates…and you look great!!
Tina: I just read in an all natural book for remedies that a Dr suggests Vitamin B6 for morning sickness. 10-25 milligram every 8 hours. Obviously, I would check with your Dr first but this Dr claims it cuts morning sickness down by 70%.
@Karen@fabinyour40s.com: I was also going to suggest a does of B6 with your dinner. <3 It helped me a ton my first pregnancy.
My baby boy is 7 months old and I still miss his kicks. It was such a cool feeling. It totally freaked out my husband too. I loved it though!
Eek!!!! The movement makes it feel all that bit more real! You certainly don’t look like you’re ahead of normal weight gain…he must just be a big baby in there!
You’re awesome, Tina!!
