Gotta make tonight’s dinner post quick! Mal and I are meeting friends for drinks in about 45 minutes, so I’m eating on the run! Good thing pizza is easy to eat while standing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I LOVE pizza! It’s probably the only meal that I could eat multiple days in a row and not get sick of it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sausage, Spinach, and Provolone Pizza

Recipe inspired by Real Simple’s Sausage, Spinach, and Provolone Pizza recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought (or homemade) pizza crust
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces ground Italian sausage
  • 1 small bunch spinach, thick stems removed (about 3 cups)
  • 4 ounces (approx. 5 slices) of thinly sliced sharp provolone
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Heat oven to 425ยบ F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray and place pizza dough on top.

Meanwhile, heat the olive in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the spinach and salt and pepper to taste, tossing, until spinach is semi wilted.

Top the pizza dough with the slices of cheese and then sausage-spinach mixture.

Bake until the crust is crisp and the cheese has melted, 12 to 15 minutes.

Amazing pizza combo! I loved the bold flavor of the provolone! It totally made the pizza! ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. That pizza looks killer. And has 2 of my favorite foods, provolone and spinach. I’m going to give it a try if I can find some provolone here in Japan… Cross your fingers.

    Wow! Murphy’s a champ!

  2. Nice job training the puppy. Now you have to play with his toes and pet him while he is eating. Nothing worse than an aggressive dog over his food.

  3. First Concert: *NSYNC – March 19, 1999 – MCI Center, DC ๐Ÿ™‚ I was quite the teeny bopper. I was only 5/6 when NKOTB came out and my mom didn’t like their pelvic thrusts, so I had to wait a while for my first concert.
