Rusted & Busted

If you look closely at the photo below, you’ll see the biggest smile ever on my face! The reason: FREE sports bras from Lululemon!!

Ok, let me explain”¦

I love the Tata Tamer sports bra from Lululemon so much, I own five of them. They’re supportive, comfortable, and flattering, so they get a lot of use. In fact, I probably wear each of them at least once over the course of a week. Well, the hooks on the back of two of my Tata Tamers have recently started to rust. (Weird, right?) I’ve owned them for a couple of years now, so I just figured it happened with regular ol’ wear and tear.

A few weeks ago, a little birdie told me that she exchanged an old Tata Tamer for the exact same reason. No questions asked. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try myself, so I brought my rusty, old Tata Tamers into Lululemon to see if they’d let me trade them in for new ones.

The folks my local Lululemon were surprised by the rusty hooks, but they were more than willing to let me exchange my old Tata Tamers for brand new ones. Hooray!

I really love that Lululemon has such high standards for their brand. I’m telling ya, those crazy prices are worth it sometimes!

Once I had my new Lululemon goodies in hand, Mal and I ran some other errands around town. One of our stops was Building #19 for some plastic Nantucket chairs for our backyard. (Mal is obsessed with owning a pair.)

As soon as we walked into the store, we saw a huge-ass folding chair, so, of course, we wanted to have some fun and snap some photos of us sitting in it. The thing was enormous! Unfortunately, a cranky pants employee yelled at us for taking a photo. Apparently, having fun and snapping photos inside Building #19 is just not allowed. Lame-o.

(The photo I snapped of Mal is still hilarious!!)

What a day! Happy hour and dinner are next on the agenda. Can’t wait to put my feet up and relax!

  1. I really think that sometimes the price is worth it! I feel the same way about Victoria’s Secret bras. I have had mine for years and years in the wear out, so I’ll pay 50 bucks for them.

  2. That’s so cool that they let you exchange something that old! I think I may have to invest in some of these as I’m rather “well-endowed” as well 😉

Boo to the grumpy employee at Building #19.

  3. I absolutely love the Ta-Ta Tamer as well. I’m like you, in that I need some extra support when running and this bra takes the cake. 😉

How do you know when they go on sale?? I need to add a few more to my collection.

  4. haha love the huge chair!

all lululemon locations have AT LEAST one free yoga class a week… one that i used to work at had 3! and most have other classes too.. they should all be posted on each store’s mini-site

  5. So good to know about Lululemon… wonder if they’d let customers exchange yoga pants when they get extra pilly?!

I actually don’t think you’re allowed to take pictures in most retail stores without asking, believe it or not! I remember back in high school I was doing a project about the Gap and we got yelled at for snapping photos, HAHA! woops!

  6. They were surprised when it happened to me, but they couldn’t explain why and I even asked if should start hand washing. I don’t mind as long as I can keep getting them replaced. Also, mine were rusting really badly – as in, the snaps rusted right off!

  9. I’ve been wanting to try this bra! Does it run true to size in your experience? I’m worried about ordering online, since I don’t have a store nearby to test things out.
