Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 Review & Giveaway

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

In honor of the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games this weekend, my friends at Reebok are giving away a pair of Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 to one lucky CNC reader!! Yay!

reebok crossfit nano 3

I received a free pair of the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 from Reebok yesterday, so I wore them for a workout this morning, and I absolutely love them. Right before the WOD started, I actually took a minute to profess my Nano 3.0 love to Anne. She probably thought I was a weirdo, but it needed to be said””obviously, right before our Tabata workout started. Haha!

Anyway, I honestly didn’t think I would like a pair of shoes for CrossFit more than the Nano 2.0 (I love those things), but Reebok definitely hit the mark with the Nano 3.0. The fit is similar with the wide toe box of the Nano 2.0, but the 3.0 is a lot more supportive and flexible all over, especially in the sole, which, of course, is essential for all of those functional movements you do in CrossFit. There’s also a soft plastic “DuraCage” on the outside of the shoe, which protects it from the usual wear and tear of CrossFit. Similarly, an extra durable “RopePro” is built into the inner sole to help prevent rope climbs from destroying your shoes like they’re known to do. I really love that Reebok worked with real CrossFit athletes to develop the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. It definitely shows. They thought of everything!

In comparison to the Reebok CrossFit Nano Speed, I like the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 a lot more. They’re just an all-around awesome shoe. The Speeds are great for running, but I prefer the Nano 3.0 for CrossFit overall. The Speeds are quite a bit more narrow throughout (I notice it most in the toe), so they move differently during WODs. Maybe I’m just used to the Nano 2.0 and prefer that wider, roomier fit. You could always buy both shoes and wear the Nano Speed for running WODs and the Nano 3.0 for everything else. But if you’re deciding between the two shoes, I’d definitely go for the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. They’re cushy and supportive, so they’re good for running too. (FYI: They’re not as hard and flat as the Nano 2.0.)

  1. I love that they have stability & durability. I need a workout sneaker with amazing support and stability bc I have high arches. I would love to win these shoes!!

  2. the impact protection and light weight seem like it would give me serious reason to buy a pair. Hopefully I won’t have to!

  3. I like they they are lightweight and yet supportive and stable. With a great style to boot – I definitely can see myself rocking a pair in Crossfit!

  4. I love the wide toe box idea! Not just for functional movements, but strangely, that’s kind of how my feet are shaped anyway, so I feel like it’ll work out perfectly.

  5. with a description of the colors like this ‘Porcelain/Neon Cherry/Ironstone/Black/Excellent Red’ how can you resist? Love these shoes!

  6. Love this shoes! But I will give them to my younger sister since she wants to do go CrossFit at 16. Pick me!

  7. I’ve been wanting to take up running but my knees always hate me for it whenever I try. Reviews on these shoes say they have enough cushion to absorb impact and are supportive for high arches. Also, breath-ability. Can’t stand sweaty feet!

  8. Curious to try these cross-training shoes with “cushioning”. I’m currently wearing 5-fingers and need a change.

  9. I’m in LOVE with the COLORS!
oh and all the other great cross-fitting aspects; stability, flexibility, toe room, comfort… 🙂

  10. I love the heel stabilization! That will be a major help and support during all the olympic lifting during crossfit.

  11. Love the colors!! I hope they are as comfortable and supportive as they look! I would love to try them out!

  12. I love that they disperse wait evenly and give stability–so important with strength training like Crossfit!

  13. Love the functionality and wide toe box for wide feet! I am getting in shape for my wedding and trying out crossfit, so these shoes would help me jumpstart my workout goals!

  14. I like the idea of cushioning because I have flatter feet and it’s hard to find a pair of shoes that don’t hurt my knees or hips! It’s important to me to find a pair that supports my feet and has stability.

  15. I don’t know how many times while watching the games this weekend I commented to my husband about the two tone color of the shoes. I love that!

  16. I’ve been looking for one shoe that I can both run and crossfit in…I love that this shoe can be used for both! Plus I love the bright colors, they help wake me up in the morning and get me moving.

  17. I’m looking for a new shoe that will be lightweight and still supportive with all the cushioning. I think I’m done with my Nikes. Crossing my fingers here!

  18. I have been researching this shoe for the past few days. I absolutely loved your review and makes me want the shoe even more. I currently workout in my brooks and I need something with more support and is also flexible. There are two features that I like about this shoe. ETC anti-friction lining to reduce abrasion and heat build up with breathable air mesh- my feet get really hot in shoes. So seeing the breathable air mesh as a feature is a great for me! The other feature is Dual Density for rear foot stability and impact protection. I know this will help so much when lifting and doing my HIIT workouts. I would love to win this shoe, because I just know it would be perfect for the workouts I do. Thanks again for doing this review!

  19. I would love to win this shoe after reading your review! It seems you tested it out and it would be perfect for my style of workouts. Thanks Tina!

  20. I tweeted about this giveaway! I’m just starting my weightloss journey and have 75lbs to lose! I’m wanting to try crossfit but heard that shows are key to support so if love to win so I can start doing crossfit with a good strong shoe to help! Just seeing them everyday would be support and motivation!

  21. I just recently found a Crossfit box close to my house and I am thinking about joining and the flexibility yet stability of this shoe I think would be perfect. 🙂

  22. I’m like the stability feature the most

ӢRCF Natural last enables full foot dispersion for greatest stability with Medial/Lateral Rope Guard and multi-directional outsole splay zone

  23. I love how breathable they are! They are going to feel so great in the middle of a wod, I just know it!

  24. There are lots of really neat things I noticed. First and foremost is breathability. Also it looks like they have more shock absorption. I am totally in love with the bright colours though! Love Reebok Nanos!

  25. Love these!! I think what I love most are the color combinations, I’m swooning over the neon green/blue. But actual shoe features? I love the ETC anti-friction lining, bc my feet sweat A LOT and this would keep them cool!
