I received a free pair of the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 from Reebok yesterday, so I wore them for a workout this morning, and I absolutely love them. Right before the WOD started, I actually took a minute to profess my Nano 3.0 love to Anne. She probably thought I was a weirdo, but it needed to be said””obviously, right before our Tabata workout started. Haha!

Anyway, I honestly didn’t think I would like a pair of shoes for CrossFit more than the Nano 2.0 (I love those things), but Reebok definitely hit the mark with the Nano 3.0. The fit is similar with the wide toe box of the Nano 2.0, but the 3.0 is a lot more supportive and flexible all over, especially in the sole, which, of course, is essential for all of those functional movements you do in CrossFit. There’s also a soft plastic “DuraCage” on the outside of the shoe, which protects it from the usual wear and tear of CrossFit. Similarly, an extra durable “RopePro” is built into the inner sole to help prevent rope climbs from destroying your shoes like they’re known to do. I really love that Reebok worked with real CrossFit athletes to develop the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. It definitely shows. They thought of everything!

In comparison to the Reebok CrossFit Nano Speed, I like the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0 a lot more. They’re just an all-around awesome shoe. The Speeds are great for running, but I prefer the Nano 3.0 for CrossFit overall. The Speeds are quite a bit more narrow throughout (I notice it most in the toe), so they move differently during WODs. Maybe I’m just used to the Nano 2.0 and prefer that wider, roomier fit. You could always buy both shoes and wear the Nano Speed for running WODs and the Nano 3.0 for everything else. But if you’re deciding between the two shoes, I’d definitely go for the Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0. They’re cushy and supportive, so they’re good for running too. (FYI: They’re not as hard and flat as the Nano 2.0.)
