Hello, hello! š
There is zero (healthy) food in our house right now, so Mal and I decided to hit up the massive salad bar at the Fruit Center Marketplace for dinner tonight. I could have easily made a $10 salad with all of the delicious options available, but mine cost just over $4. Not too shabby for “take-out,” right? Mal’s salad, however, cost a bit more. He loves all of the “heavy” stuff, like chicken and hard-boiled eggs, in his salad. Typical guy. Anyway, my salad was fabulous!
For dessert, I enjoyed a zillion oatmeal cookies from Lucy’s. I’m not one to turn down cookies, so when the company offered to send me some samples, I gladly agreed. These oatmeal cookies are light and crisp with a nice, wholesome flavor. As previously mentioned, I ate a zillion of them, so I guess you could say that I liked ’em! š
Snack
When I got home from work, I snacked on a piece of whole wheat toast with melted Swiss cheese. It was nothing fancy, but it hit the spot.
Pretty Woman
My favorite movie of all time is Pretty Woman. Minus the prostitution part, I always felt like I could relate to this story: Vivian (Julie Robert) emerges from her humble existence to become a lovely, sophisticated woman, who ultimately finds her knight in shining armor (Richard Gere).Ā Ok, so, maybe I’m not “sophisticated” (I laugh hysterically at fart jokes), but I can definitely relate to Vivian’s story. Plus, what’s not to love about the movie’s fairy-tale ending?
Anyway, in honor of my favorite movie and Dave and Marie’s wedding/my 30th birthday on Saturday, I rented Nicole Miller’s Pretty Woman Lace Dress from Rent the Runway (RTR). I had such a great experience with RTRĀ the first time (btw, here’s the dress), I decided to rent from them again–Ā and I coordinated a giveaway for you guys! š
To enter: Just leave a comment on this post about the dress you’d pick from Rent the Runway. I’ll randomly pick a winner on Friday morning to receive a $100 gift certificate to reserve it!
Good luck!
