Hi, friends!

Now that I am back into the swing of things with working out, I am all about healthy eating and selecting quality foods to fuel my workouts– both before and after. I hate exercising on an empty stomach (I feel like I have zero energy), so I always make sure to eat a small snack about an hour or two before. Usually, it’s something with a good mix of carbs, protein, and a little bit of fat to give me energy and keep me satisfied. Post-workout, I like to refuel the same way, but I put an emphasis on protein and make sure I consume my snack within 20-30 minutes of finishing my workout. That said, let me tell you about a new snack that I have been chowing before workouts and throwing in my gym bag for after workouts. It’s a delicious one!

I was recently contacted by the folks at Larabar to sample their new grain-free, gluten-free granola, which is a blend of non-GMO fruits, nuts, and seeds, called Renola. (Renola means “Reinventing Granola,” and it’s packed full of nutrition without the filler.)

I loved Larabar’s new granola so much, I partnered with them to bring you guys this post and an awesome giveaway to win some Renola to try yourself. (I have a good feeling you will LOVE it!)

Renola comes in 3 flavors (Cocoa Coconut, Berry, and Cinnamon Nut) and you can find it in the cereal aisle at your local Target and other retailers.

Ok, let me tell you about some of the snacks I’ve enjoyed using Renola. They’re all super easy to make and travel-friendly, so you can just pack them up in Tupperware and go. Easy as that! These snacks are perfect for when you need a quick bite to eat, like right before or after a workout, but they’re also delicious at any time of the day!

Granola Banana Mash

Looking for a quick and super satisfying snack? Try this Granola Banana Mash! Just slice up a banana, add your favorite flavor of Renola, drizzle with honey, and mash up with a folk. You’ll have a mushy mess of deliciousness in no time!

Healthy Blueberry Crisp for One

This Healthy Blueberry Crisp is one of my favorite healthy treats. It’s wonderful as a dessert and perfect for giving you quick energy right before a workout!

Here is how to make it: In a microwave-safe dish, add a scoop of almond butter to 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries and then nuke it in the microwave for 45 seconds. Mix it all together and then top with Renola. It tastes just like blueberry crisp, but healthier and without all of the added sugar.

Fruit, Greens + Granola

This 3-ingredient salad can be thrown together in a matter of minutes. Grab a handful or two of your favorite fresh greens (baby spinach, arugula, spring mix), add your favorite kind of fruit (peach, apple, strawberries), and top with a hearty serving of Renola. Fruit, veggies, nuts, and seeds”¦ this snack has it all!

P.S. Have questions about Renola? Check out this helpful FAQ page!

  1. I like granola mixed in with another type of cereal, plus maybe some hemp seeds or chia seeds & dried fruit. I’d love to try out the renola because I like that it isn’t made the traditional way, plus I love Larabars so these sound intriguing.

  2. I love to mix granola with berries, banana, and yogurt. And it looks delicious which is why I’d love the chance to win some, thank you!!

  3. I looove larabars and was on a huge homemade granola kick for yogurt and fruit bowls in the morning (or anytime, who am I kidding?!), but have fallen out of it recently. I am super excited about a healthy store-bought option as so many out there have a ton of added sugar!

  4. I love granola with almond milk or in plain Greek yogurt with fruit. I’m struggling to lose some weight now so I’m hoping this granola would be a good, healthy granola to add to my snack time!

  5. I keep it simple – add to Green yogurt with lunch. And I’d love to try Renola because the flavors sound delicious!

  6. I used to eat granola with yogurt almost every day but since I now eat a mostly paleo diet I haven’t had either in a long time. Renola would be a great substitution since it’s paleo 🙂

  7. I love putting granola in yogurt, with either blueberries or chopped up strawberries or peaches. Makes yogurt more like a meal!

  8. i love eating granola with greek yogurt! i usually have plain greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey and granola crumbles. it’s delicious!
