Out with the Old

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

… and in with the new!

Look what arrived in the mail yesterday! I ordered a new HP All-in-One computer (thanks to a very helpful recommendation from Josh) weeks and week ago, and it’s finally here! I never thought I’d be so excited about a PC. I’ve always been a Mac gal.

I’m not sure who was more excited about my new computer: my husband or me. Mal acted like a kid on Christmas! But, he did set it up for me! 😉

So excited! I can’t wait to really learn how to use Window Live Writer!! I’ve heard it’s life-changing!

In addition to a new computer, we found a new entry table from Craigslist last night. The current one just wasn’t working out:

It was always a mess.

The new entry cabinet hides the mess! 😉

I bought English muffins at the grocery store this week (I had a serious craving), so I toasted one up for breakfast this morning.

I added Teddie peanut butter and banana slices. Mmm! I love melty peanut butter!

And, of course, iced coffee (pumpkin spice flavor) with soy milk.

Question of the Day

Are you more of a PC person or Mac person?

  1. I use Macs at school and I can see their appeal, but I’ve been a PC person for so long that I can’t see myself ever changing over. Yay for a new computer!

I had a big craving for English muffins, too – I got some cinnamon raisin ones 😀

  2. I was always a PC girl until I met my husband. When I moved in with him a couple years ago, I had to use his MAC because my PC had broken down (of course). I never went back! Macs rule!

  3. I can’t even talk about computers because I love English muffins with peanut butter and banana so much 🙂 What a stellar breakfast (or lunch, or dinner). Yum!

  4. I’ve used PC’s my entire life. I’m 32. A bit over a year ago, my bf gave me his 2 year old MacBook Pro (he upgrade) and I insisted he put Windows Vista on it because I was omgahSCARED to learn a new OS. At some point this summer, I realized how much HDD space I was wasting and got him to get rid of Windows.

I am in love with Snow Leopard’s simplicity!

Two weeks ago, I got a 27″ i7 iMac and I am very very happy.

  5. I was always a PC girl, but I got a Macbook Pro recently and I love, love, LOVE it. It’s so tiny and sleek and I haven’t had any problems with it (knock on wood, oy). So far so good. Enjoy your fabulous new purchases!

  6. Yay! I had been wondering if you had gotten around to getting the new PC. Was also curious whether or not you went with one of the PCs I recommended. Best of luck!

  7. PC. I have an IBM and can’t stand using Macs. Like someone else above I feel like using them is really counterintuitive – you can’t customize them as much and I don’t like the graphic design at all. Also, the keyboards are too shallow (I know I sound like a crazy person). To me the IBM feels like a real machine and the Mac like an easy user interface for a computer.

  8. okay, so in my class, 12th, we have a heated debate over Macs vs. PCs everytime someone even mentions it. I mean the ENTIRE class gets into it, granted our graduating class is only 36 but still!! I stand with the PC.

  9. I understand! I’m getting a new computer in my uni PhD office, and I can’t wait. My current, really-old one, take NINE MINUTES to start up…

  10. My first laptop was a PC but I knew I wanted a Mac whenever I got a new computer and that happened last spring. I love my Mac but at school I will jump between the PC’s and the Mac’s depending on what is available.

  11. After 2 years of law school with my HP laptop (and having to send back a sparking power cord and the whole computer for a faulty fan), I switched to Mac last fall and will NEVER go back. In 14 months I’ve had no problems with it at all. In fact, my law office will be Mac-based.

I’m not a blogger, but I know my MacBook Pro came with a program called iWeb that can be used to build websites. Is it just too basic for a blogger or something?
