Is anyone else really ready for the weekend? It’s been a crazy week, and I’m ready for it to be over! Maybe I just really want to see my blog friends and go skiing! 😉
So, apparently, orange is the color of the day when it comes to my food:
Coconut Curry Livin’ Spoonful CrackersÂ
And Honey-Roasted Sweet Potatoes topped with Coconut Butter.
That’s a lot of orange, huh?
Workout
After yesterday’s killer workout, I took it easy on the fitness front. I spent about 30 minutes stretching and foam rolling while watching yesterday’s episode of Ellen on my DVR. Ellen had Justin Bieber on her show, so now I want to see his movie. I really hate to admit that. I swear, I’m not 13-years-old.
Then, I went shopping for 2.5 hours. All of that walking around counts as exercise, right? 😉
The other day, Julie, told me about a nearby TJMaxx (Norwell)Â that carries tons of designer jeans. My Sevens from 2006 are on their last leg (haha), so it was time to replace them.
I ended up finding the most amazing pair of Joe’s Jeans for $60 less than the regular price. I realize $80 is still a lot of money to pay for a pair of jeans, but quality denim lasts for years and years. I wore my Sevens at least once or twice a week for five years straight and just now they’re starting to look pretty worn. Even still, they were worth every penny. They’re also the most flattering pair of jeans that I own!
I love designer jeans, but they are always too long for me, which means I have to pay to get them hemmed. But, I don’t trust my expensive jeans with any old tailor. I make a special trip to Christos in Brookline. They do amazing work, but it’s a hassle to travel all that way.
Long story short, I am in love with the pair of jeans that I found at TJMaxx because they don’t need to be hemmed! They’re already the perfect length. The jeans are Joe’s Petite Fit Provocateur, which means they have a shorter inseam and a higher knee break to elongate the leg. Finally, a pair of jeans that I don’t have to hem before I wear them! Wahoo!
Do you think designer jeans are worth the money? What’s your favorite brand of jeans?

I have some jeans from Express, NY & Co, DKNY (from TJMaxx!), J Crew. I definitely agree that it’s ok to spend a bit on jeans because they get a lot of wear and tear.
If you are a big jean wearer and love them, then absolutely yes – pay the money for quality and comfort.
I don’t have a favorite brand as I am not a big fan of jeans.
But random fact, I found out the other day that Aniston has her jeans custom made for her – wouldn’t that make life so much easier! 🙂
