This post is part of my partnership with Grapes from California. I hope you enjoy it!
With the holiday season upon us, I couldn’t help but create a delectable scone recipe using some of the wonderful flavors of the season. Grapes from California, in particular, were an easy choice. They’re in season right now, and they’re an ideal healthy mix-in because they give baked goods a boost of added flavor, texture, and nutrition. Pecans just scream fall and white chocolate chips were a no-brainer. I mean, we needed a little chocolate in there, right? Right!
These scones are the perfect treat for a relaxing holiday brunch with family and friends. They’re a well-balanced combination of wholesome rolled oats, grapes, and pecans with sweet white chocolate chips for a subtle dessert-like touch. Your guests and loved ones are guaranteed to enjoy this special recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1.25 cups rolled oats
- 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 8 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 cup red grapes from California, cut in half
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup white chocolate morsels + extra for drizzling
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine above ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper and transfer the dough onto it. Form dough into a large disk, approximately 3/4 inch thick. Then, cut it into 8 pieces with a large knife.
Bake scones for 10-12 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Melt additional white chocolate morsels in the microwave and pour into a Ziplock bag with a corner snipped off (or a pastry bag). Drizzle melted chocolate over scones and then serve.
Recipe makes 8 scones.

Yummy! I am looking for brunch food for the long weekend so this is perfect!
What an interesting take on scones. I’m so curious to give the grapes a try in my favorite recipe.
Can’t go wrong with anything white chocolate!!
Grapes in a scone? LOVE that idea!

I didn’t know it could be easy to make scones! I love grapes.. but would cranberries also work?
This looks delicious, Tina! That frosting – yum!
Please do not blaspheme chocolate by calling white chocolate “chocolate.” 😉
So interesting! I’ve never seen fresh grapes used in baked goods before. Most intrigued!
I always thought scones would be hard to make, this looks doable (for a non-baker!)
Thanks!
these sound AMAZING! thank you for sharing!
These scones look so good! & pecans really are great during this season!
I thinkit would be better with raisins, grapes seem like a strange choice.
I had to come back and comment again: I made these this weekend and they were absolutely delicious!! Best scone recipe to date! 😀 Thanks for sharing!
I substituted grapes (as I didn’t have any on hand) for dried berries and added a good handful of walnuts… So good!
