Isn’t Sunday supposed to be a day of rest? Well, today is definitely not a day of rest for me! I have a To Do list a mile long!!! But, some of the tasks are pretty fun– like going to Sephora. 😉

Breakfast

Mal, Murph, and I slept in until almost 9 AM this morning, which was a-mazing! I feel great this morning! :mrgreen: I’m used to eating breakfast around 6:30/7:00, so by the time we got out of bed, I was famished! So, I immediately put on a pot of banana oats for Mal and me to share.

In the mix:

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup non-fat milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed meal
  • 1/2 tbsp agave nectar
  • Cinnamon

Like always, I added two scoops of peanut butter to my oats. This morning, I tried Teddie’s new smooth with flaxseed variety. Mmm! I liked this one a lot! It had a nice peanut flavor with a slightly gritty texture. The flax added some omega-3’s, but it didn’t seem to affect the flavor.

I also enjoyed an iced latte with vanilla soy milk with breakfast.

Between the donations for weight loss pledges and product lids and seals, General Mills hopes to contribute up to $775,000 to Feeding America during the Pound For Pound Challenge.

  1. Love that challenge, it’s beneficial for everyone! And my bank account gets scared when I go to Sephora, I could wander around there for hours. Have a wonderful & relaxing rest of the weekend!

  2. I’m with you regarding Sunday! I have so much to do including wedding thank you notes, research new apartments on the Upper East side, and workout!

  4. wow busy day – sephora sounds fun though!! that store is like wholefoods to me – i can stay and browse for hours and want every new product 😉

    great bowl of oats! they sell teddies at my school which i always buy. two scoops is absolutely necessary haha

  5. The pound for pound challenge is such a cool idea!!

    The peanut butter sounds great! Flax seed are wonderful. You can add them to so many things without changing the flavor. And I have no Sephora store around me so I have to order offline, which is probably better for my wallet 😉

  6. Tina~ You are so right on! Sunday is my day to focus on my interests, including Sephora! (Ulta is having a sale. Check out their website!)
    As for rest…putter and crash all day long. Now I am crashing. XOXO

  7. I am so with you on all accounts of the day! We got up super late and enjoyed our oats before we have to start our long list of things to do today. We are cleaning like crazy today! Wish I had a fun thing to do…I may have to sneak in some baking time just for fun!

  8. I have a love/hate relationship with Sunday – I want to be able to spend the day relaxing, reading, etc but instead I seem to always be doing laundry, ironing, etc.

    I also slept a little late this morning – there is nothing like it.

  9. Glad the PB tasted good, even with the flax. I’ve found those kinds of mixes to be touch and go, but now I know which brand to keep an eye out for at the market.

  10. definitely going to check for that pb! i love teddie’s and will take any omega 3’s i can get. did you get it at whole foods or stop & shop?

  11. Most Sundays, I think I prefer to be busy–because like you, most of my Sunday tasks are both fun and productive 🙂

    Good to know about that PB…I would LOVE to find the Teddie’s brand somewhere!

  12. I love that PB! It’s my new favorite, and until they come out with a better (healthier AND yummier) one, that’s the PB I’m gonna get!
    The “spreadability” is awesome, except it makes for a messy extraction from the jar, and I have a bad habit of “cleaning up” the jar so it looks neat and not counting that I ate that peanut butter. It doesn’t count if I’m just making it look neat, right? lol
