Good morning! Happy Thursday!
Breakfast
Yesterday’s breakfast was a little random, but it was, oh, so delicious. Listen to this mix of goodies: mashed sweet potato with Coconut Cinnamon Apples, chopped walnuts, and a big scoop of Teddie peanut butter. Mmm! It was tasty, nutritious, and super-duper satisfyingāāthe combination of ingredients keep me full for hours and hours.
Making the Coconut Cinnamon Apples was really simple: Just slice up an apple (any variety will work) and then pan-sear them in one tablespoon of coconut oil. Cook for a few minutes (longer if you prefer really soft apples) and then sprinkle with cinnamon.
Boom! Coconut Cinnamon Apples! They’re super easy to make and add some serious deliciousness to a meal or snack.
Workout
A few hours after breakfast, a special package arrived at my house. Inside was a bunch of goodies from Reebok‘s new Studio Collection (aka workout gear for yoga, Pilates, barre):
- Yoga Capri in black: A casual relaxed capri that gives you a little extra room to move and uses a soft bamboo fabric. The material features PlayDry technology which moves moisture and improves ventilation.
- Yoga Hoodie in aqua vapor: This cozy and edgy pullover is loose fitting with a cropped cut for effortless layering. It also features our PlayDry technology that moves moisture and aids in ventilation.
- Yoga Long Bra in wicked blue: With a fitted athletic design that contours to your body, this bra top will not get in your way or slow you down during high performance exercises. This top also features PlayDry technology and removable cookies for performance ready support.
Reebok has actually partnered with the Founder of Strala Yoga, Tara Stiles, to create this new product line. Cool, right?
These goodies arrived just in time for my lunchtime hot yoga class, so, obviously, I needed to wear them and test them out. The Yoga Capris, unfortunately, were too big for me, so I only wore the Yoga Long Bra and Yoga Hoodie to class.
The style, color, and fit of the Yoga Long Bra⦠LOVE. It is totally something I would buy for myself. The fit is very flatteringāālong and slimmingāāwith a racerback that shows off the shoulders and upper back. I especially loved the length since hit below my hips and the form-fittingness (hey, that’s actually a word!) kept it in place so it didn’t move around or leave my stomach exposed during down dogs or inversions.
It even stayed in place when I was doing headstands!
Ok, it’s not the best picture, but it was really hot after class and my camera was really cold from sitting out in the waiting room, so there was some serious fogging going on. But, you get the idea, right? The tank stayed put!
So, I have to admit, the Yoga Hoodie isn’t something I would normally buy for myself. I guess if I saw it on a rack at a store, I’d automatically assume I couldn’t pull it off, so I’m really glad Reebok sent it to me to try out. I’m definitely going to rock it at my studio classes now. It’s soft and cozy and perfect for wearing while warming-up your body during the first few poses of yoga class. I also really loved the color. Most of my workout gear is black and other dark colors, so I’m happy to add a little variety and brighten up my collection.

Question of the Day
What color are most of your clothesāāboth workout gear and regular clothes? Do you tend to buy a lot of the same colors or do you mix it up?
Both my workout gear and regular clothes include a lot of gray, navy, black, and purple. I’m starting to add more color though and less and less of my regular clothes are dark colorsāāthe pug people know what I’m taking about. Those little dogs shed like crazy!!!

Awesome goodie box! Lucky girl!
The hoodie is super cute. Does it have thumbholes? I love anything with thumbholes! The color is great though. I usually stick with black and grey for my workout clothes. I really need to expand my collection.
@Alycia: No thumbholes, but I didn’t really miss them– probably because it was a million degrees in class!
Most of my workout pants are black or gray. I wish they made more colors for legs!!
@Dee: ME TOO!
@Dee: @Tina: Sometimes Old Navy has cute workout bottoms in fun colors, even the ones that are black or gray will have a color block strip down the side, just to change it up.
I have a purple pair of workout capris from Old Navy and LOVE them! š
That tank was super-adorable. You’ve gotten all kinds of awesome new workout gear recently. Lucky lady!!!! š
Love the long yoga tank!!!
Most of my clothes, workout wise and everyday wear are black. I also have lots of grey and brown as well. Every now and again I will throw in a pop of color with pinks/purples but I prefer the dark, slimming colors!!
The tank looks great. I agree, that hoodie is not something I would ever buy, not into the crop look.
Most of my bottoms are black/grey, but I have alot of colored tops, from blues, yellows to neon orange, pinks.
I did buy the Heather Violet crops from Old Navy, just havent worn them yet. I think since most of my tops are colored I dont have a dark top to go with them!!
Cute stuff š And way to pull off that headstand! I’m so not there yet.
I tend to have black or grey bottoms and more colorful tops. But black is awesome for not showing sweat!
Bottoms are all black or grey and then I mix in the colors with the tops. Mostly race tee’s. But thankful that races are giving dry-fit or tech shirts these days!!
The Kidless Kronicles
I love that yoga gear!! I have so many running clothes but I don’t have enough for yoga and they aren’t the same at all! I’ll have to check out that line!
Most of my workout tops are the same colors–lots of greens, blues, and purples. I have a fair complexion, so I can’t pull off warmer hues. š For cycling and doing yoga, I always wear black bottoms because they hide sweat really well (and I sweat super easily), but I love fun running shorts. I actually just got some neon ones, and I can’t wait to wear them!
Completely OT but I made the 2-ingredient pancakes for dinner tonight- SO yum!
@Khushboo: Yay! So glad you liked it! š
I try to go for different colours – I love the grey pants!!!
@Shel@PeachyPalate: Me too! They’re my favorite workout pants!
All of my capris and pants are black, but I wear nike shorts a lot and I have those in tons of colors. I also have all my sports bras in various colors and I tend to wear cotton t-shirts, so those are colorful too!
I feel like all my clothes are black!
I tend to wear a lot of black and grey for exercise clothes and regular clothes. I try to mix it up with some color here and there too. I love wearing tie dye so that helps bring some fun into an otherwise dull wardrobe.
I bet you never have to buy workout clothes you lucky duck. š Love everything you tried and reviewed! I typically have darker (i.e. black, dark gray) bottoms and go for brighter tops. I am intrigued by some of the capris and running shorts I’ve been seeing lately that are fun colors though, so I might just have to switch it up a bit when it’s time to buy some new workout clothes again.
What a great idea with the apples. I will try that this weekend since I love apples and am always looking for new ways to use them. Most of my workout clothes are dark colors – blacks, navys, some reds. My Dad buys me workout stuff a lot for birthdays/christmas because it’s all I ever want š but he gets me the colors that HE likes! Ha! I need to start expanding my color palette.
All my workout clothes are warm colors…pinks, purples, yellows!
Well most of my stuff is Black, I need more color i think!!
Love the hoodie, it is super cute!! Is it a crop hoodie? Most of my bottoms are black or gray, but all of my tops and jackets are bright colors!!
Yep, it’s a crop hoodie! š
One word to describe my workout clothes is LOUD! I wear a lot or bright colored tops and tempo shorts with bright patterns. My fave colors are hot pink and neon green. If I’m wearing grey or black capris, I make sure to have a bright top to add a little color. I always try to get bright running shoes and cross training shoes. I workout early in the mornings so I feel like wearing bright clothes (and most of the time A LOT of different colors) helps wake me up!
@Krystina: Good point! Bright colors would definitely be helpful in the morning! š
I have a lot of neutrals. Brown, dark green, black, etc. because they go well with my skin town. However, I love color! A favorite of mine is my neon orange workout tank.
I love love love the yoga outfit you received, especially the cute hoodie! The color + cut + comfort looks amazing! I have really been liking Reebok’s workout gear style lately! š
So cute! Love the hoodie and racer back shirt. I like my tops to be super long…this one looks like it might be long and flattering!
I really think I need to try and make those applies! They look so damn good!!
I refuse to buy plain colored workout clothes. I like color in my life and why not have colorful gym clothes too? I find lululemon has TONs of bright colored gym clothes (I have a pair of neon pink wunder unders that I rock allllll the time). I love that companies are starting to make more colorful clothing! I can’t wait to try the top you’re wearing!
“removable cookies”… hehe, I think I know what you were thinking about when writing this post š
cute outfit!
@Hillary | Nutrition Nut on the Run: Haha! š
I love Tara Stiles – and will definitely check out her yoga line on the Reebok website.
Lots and lots of black, white, and gray for my workout gear and regular clothes! I’m trying to ease my way into color, one bright top at a time…although I do love a good pair of colored jeans!
Love that yoga long bra & yoga hoodie, btw!
Basically ALL of my clothes are either gray or black – SO boring! I try to throw a little color in every once in a while but it never lasts for long. I’m going to have to check out Reebok’s long-bra… I love tops that don’t move during a variety of yoga moves!
I think all of my capris/tights/pants are black or grey (gray? I never get that right), but my tops all different colors. I do have a lot of pink and teal tops, so I’m trying to mix in more colors when I buy new stuff.
Love the new clothes! Especially the hoodie, super cute. Most of my workout bottoms are black or gray, and for tops I have lots of random colors. I also usually just wear an old college tshirt, lots of them are bright red since I went to Cornell!
It’s so nice to get clothes just in time for a workout! The hoodie isn’t something I would buy either, but it looks cute on you. I do like the long bra. So functional. Thanks!
The pants I buy are always black. I just can’t break away from it!! It will always match and never goes out of style. I like bold, bright tops . . . so I’m much more fun with my tanks, shirts and hoodies. š
I have a lot of basic color gear, but I also love neon! Orange and green are favs – also great for outdoor running, so people can see me š I got a neon green tek hoodie for Christmas and I love it!
I am obsessed with anything teal. At least half my wardrobe {regular AND workout} is teal. Or hot pink. š
I would live in cute yoga ware if I could. I think any woman would. š And whoever invented the thumb holes in these hoodies is quite possibly the smartest woman in the world!
I do a lot of black and gray bottoms with colored tops. I like having neutral bottoms so I can pair them with a greater variety of colors of tops. Those yoga crops look really cute on you and I love the color! š
TODAY IS NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER DAY!!! š
Woohoo! Best day ever!! š
Your really are the luckiest person to have the job you have! I love that yoga outfit!
Very cute tops. I also wouldn’t think to try that hoodie on but it does seem really great for before a class, more flattering than you’d think! I love wearing bright colored tops to work out in – I own lots of bold blues, plus a couple aquas, yellows and a couple of pinks. I like my pants to be black or gray and my headbands to be bright.
@Dori: I’m a big fan of bright headbands too! š
All of my pants are black because I think they’re the most slimming for my hips. But I love colorful tops!
I love that yoga hoodie!! I wear a lot of black and brown to work but my gym clothes are much more colorful! I should try to brighten up my everyday wear!
Most of my workout clothes are black/grey – I need bright colors! I do have one obnoxiously neon t-shirt I like to wear for races, that way I can always be spotted!
Great gear. I really like Tara’s newest DVDs Yoga Transformation.
Majority of clothing is black/navy. With a white Lab and black Lab, hair will be on my clothing no matter what color I wear!!
@Nicole: Haha!
Definitely going to try the coconut/cinnamon apples! Most of my workout clothes are either purple or black, although I do like to occasionally mix it up with a few loud color tanks!
Most of my gear is black, grey and navy…and actually, so are all my ‘regular’ clothes š
Everything is black, grey, and hot pink. These are the colors of my studio. It makes it easy to get dressed.
Thanks for the apple recipe!!!!
I ended up with a bunch of black also because as much as I love bright colors, they show sweat more which is gross. Nike Dri Fit is the best I’ve found for colorful things that won’t show the sweat as much.
Those are some cute clothes! A lot of my workout clothes are bright pink/orange. Though all my pants are black. I’d like to branch out a little though!
