Its “data recall” includes date, run/lap number, total exercise time, calories burned, total distance, average speed, average pace, and total lap time/distance. Lunch

I ate my lunch at NuVal this afternoon. I threw together a random bunch of leftovers from the fridge: roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, chicken, and crumbled feta. It was surprisingly tasty all mixed together.

While working away at NuVal, I sipped on some hot coffee with cream and sugar.

Snack

At home a few hours later, I whipped up a green smoothie. In the mix:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup chopped frozen kale
  • 2 tbsp sunflower butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.75 cups almond milk

It was quite the delicious smoothie. It sort of tasted like banana bread with sunflower butter spread on top. Delish! It was also insanely filling. I hope I’m hungry for dinner in a few hours!

  1. I just recently came across your blog about a month ago. It inspired me through the last three weeks of half marathon training which ended with my race TODAY. It was my first running race of any kind… period. Though I was very pleased with my time, I decided on the spot that I need some sort of gps watch. Went out way too fast, thinking I was slow and felt horrible at the end. I felt utter despair the last three miles, thinking I was probably running something like 12 minute miles (may or may not have even walked a little… not going to say either way!)… Then came to the end to find that it was 25 minutes EARLIER than i thought it was. Needless to say…. I need major pacing help and some sort of gps watch has got to be in my future 😉

  3. I would absolutely love to win this watch!! My usual running route sometimes has to be cut short depending on whether or not the crazy chihuahuas down the street are not being kept in their gate! Its horrible! So this watch would help me find new routes and keep track of how long they are.

  4. i’m training for my first half marathon (the pittsburgh half on 5.6.12) and i will be traveling for work soon so i won’t be able to run on my usual trails that have mile markers… so this watch would keep me on track!

  6. I attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and am on the Crossfit Team and Women’s Club Soccer Team. I have been looking to purchase a watch like this one for a long time, but since I earn $200 a month here, it has never been in my budget. I am registered for some half marathons and other races in the upcoming months and this watch would really help me train for them and also help me in all other training evolutions I do here at the Academy.

I have races pretty much every weekend until June this spring and after my last half marathon and downloading my splits (stone age using mapmyrun) I realize that I am quite a bit faster than I give myself credit for so would love to have a watch that helps me stay on pace better and really push myself in each race!

  15. My Garmin died about five months ago when I got injured. Stress fractures in both shins and compartment syndrome in my calves. Many people told me I should quit running, but I rested. Now, I’m training for the Vermont City Marathon in two months. I did my first twenty miler today, but am missing having a GPS watch terribly! This would help out.

  16. I would love the New Balance GPS Runner Sports Watch because it would be so handy! I just spend a good 8 or so minutes on mapmyrun trying to calculate how far I ran today. It was tedious, and trying to remember the ~1.5 miles I ran when lost was not especially fun. But this watch would make running much more enjoyable and stressful – especially when training for a race!

  17. I am about a year into running and have my first half marathon in about 5 weeks (Wallis Sands in NH) and I am part of a Reach the Beach NH team. Finding the $$ to fund all of the gadgets and gear that make running more enjoyable and more injury-free has been my biggest challange and I don’t see being able to purchase a real running watch anywhere in my future. Plus Map My Run keeps giving me false date which drives me bonkers!!

  19. When I was in middle school I couldn’t run more than .1 of a mile without having to walk. I was a figure skater, not someone with a great amount of endurance, but still I wanted to run so bad because it was so relaxing. My best friend, who is a competitive runner, inspires me to try to reach my goal of eventually running a marathon even when I think that’s crazy and it would be fabulous if I could check my progress so evenually I can run a race and keep up with her! I am getting there, I can run 4 miles! 🙂

  26. I just started running in races and getting into distance – I’ve had asthma my entire life and was never able to do more than a couple of minutes. Through medication and a long road of training I’ve actually done a 10K and a 15K – and it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come! I’d love this watch so I could actually track

  27. I love to run. I am running the BAA 5k in a couple of weeks. I used to use runkeeper app to train when I had my iPhone. Now I don’t have it anymore and this watch is on my wish list. I will be thankful for it.

  28. I’ve had asthma my entire life and never been able to run. Through a combination of medicine and long, slow training I’ve been able to do a 10K and 15K race. It’s crazy to see how far I’ve come! I could desperately use it for my half marathon training!! Targeting September 🙂
