Lunch

I ate my lunch at NuVal this afternoon. I threw together a random bunch of leftovers from the fridge: roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, chicken, and crumbled feta. It was surprisingly tasty all mixed together.

While working away at NuVal, I sipped on some hot coffee with cream and sugar.

Snack

At home a few hours later, I whipped up a green smoothie. In the mix:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup chopped frozen kale
  • 2 tbsp sunflower butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.75 cups almond milk

It was quite the delicious smoothie. It sort of tasted like banana bread with sunflower butter spread on top. Delish! It was also insanely filling. I hope I’m hungry for dinner in a few hours!

  1. I’ve greatly been needing a watch to help me keep track of my long runs so I have a better grip on speed/distance.

  2. I really like to track my running stats – distance, speed and calories. I am kind of a free runner, in that I don’t always like to stick with a set path, I just like to hit the road and see where my legs take me! So it would be nice to have my watch keep me informed of my distances, instead of waiting to get home to track my path on a website. I’ve never used a GPS watch before, but there’s always a first time for everything!

I have my first 10k in two weeks, and hope it is the beginning to many to come! It’s difficult to run without tracking my distance or speed, and I know this watch would help me push myself!

  10. I would love this watch because my Garmin 305 is now 5 years old and starting to fail on me…in order to charge it I have to plug it in and then hold it up in the air!

  13. I would love to win this watch for a couple of reasons! Id like to win it for my husband who started running last year and recently finished his first marathon. He’s hoping to do a 50 mile run at the end of the year but without a watch and having to calculate mileage on the computer it’s been really hard! I just had a baby and want to start running again too so it would be something we could share! Keeping my fingers crossed that we win!

  18. I would love to win this watch because I think it will make increasing my distance and pace so much easier with such a great way to keep track of my progress! Now that the weather has been better I’ve been taking it from the treadmill to the outdoors, and I love running outside 100x more! Although you know I’m sure being from Massachusetts (I’m in Central MA) that the weather never stays one way for very long! So unpredictable! But I was still out there running every 80+ degree day we had the week before last of course. 🙂

I’ve been running for about 2 years now and have recently started setting big goals for myself… Planning to do my first 10k this spring then hopefully upward to 1/2 marathons and beyond in the future. I enjoy pushing myself and reaching new achievements! This watch would be the perfect accessory for me to reach the goals I am setting for myself. I’d also like to stop bringing my phone along because I’ve already had it accidentally fall to a unforgiving paved surface and shattered the back screen. (Thank goodness I have a cover on it now to hide the damage) You’re blog is great and has really helped motivate me. Thanks!
