Never Have I Ever

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

”¦ woken up at 4:45 to run.

That’s right. I set my alarm for 4:45 this morning, but for a good reason!

I met the Back on My Feet (BOMF) Father Bill’s Place team for an early-morning workout! It was wonderful meeting the team and starting our day with a run/walk at the YMCA. (Once it’s warmer, we’ll start running outside.)

You guys will hear a lot more about the team in the coming weeks. I’m just getting my feet wet, but I am already excited about being part of this organization.

Never have I ever”¦

”¦smoked a cigarette.I’ve never even considered trying one. Eww.

”¦eaten dinner in the North End of Boston. I’ve lived in Boston for almost a decade now and have yet to enjoy some delicious Italian food from the North End. Mal is in the same boat. We need to get on that, huh?

When I returned home from meeting the Father Bill’s team, I made myself breakfast. My stomach was grumbling, so I fed it banana oatmeal with pecans, chia seeds, and a big scoop of Teddie peanut butter.

I also drank an iced coffee with soy milk. Boy, did it hit the spot.

Question of the Day

What are some of your Never Have I Evers?

P.S. South Boston & South Shore folks: The Father Bill’s Place team is looking for volunteers!!!

  1. You MUST go to Monica’s Trattoria in the North End! They make all their own pasta, and their sauces are to-die-for. Make sure you go to the trattoria, not the restaurant, as its smaller and more quaint. It’s the one by the 24-hour bakery….you’ll love it!

  2. I’ve never been to a blogging seminar…buttt thats going to change now because I just got the okay from my boss to rearrange my work schedule on May 20-21 and can now attend FitBloggin!!!!!! 🙂

  3. Never have I had a child, bungy jumped, eaten durian or travelled to France. I plan on going to France one day, and I’d be game to try durian, but I won’t be having kids or bungy jumping in this lifetime!

  4. Never have I ever (but would like to some day) gone sky diving, been to Ireland, gone surfing, had a child, or had a full-out spa day ( I think I want that one soon!)

  5. Never have I ever seen Titanic (and I refuse to watch it now just out of principal), nor have I ever wanted kids…people keep telling me that will change, but I’m 29 and well, I still prefer dogs 🙂

You have to try La Galleria 33 in the North End…AMAZING!!

  6. I’ve never gone skydiving or bungie jumping either, and don’t feel a burning need to do either.

I’ve never been to Ireland, even though some of my mom’s family is from there. I have been to Scotland, England and Wales. Gotta get to Ireland!

I had to smoke in a play once. It was disgusting.

You must go eat in the North End! Any place there will be great!

  7. Thanks so much for joining us this morning for our run! We have quite a group and I am so glad you have decided to join us!

  8. I also woke up early this morning to run. I wasn’t going to, but then I remembered that I’m running a marathon in October and if I didn’t run I’d only be hurting myself.

  9. I’ve never smoked a cigarette either. In fact, I’ve never inhaled anything into my lungs except air (and maybe second-hand whatever). I feel like trying to inhale smoke would be like trying to breathe underwater and it freaks me out!!

  10. I’ve never smoked a cigarette either! I would have no idea how to do it! I have, however, gotten up that early to run but I HATE it. I am not a morning person.

  11. I’ve never smoked a cigarette. I’ve never had an alcoholic drink. I’ve never had an ice bath. For a runner (5+ years), 3 marathons and 4 half’s, that’s saying something!

  12. gotta love this game. COME to the North End. And come to my blog if you need help deciding were to eat. (I live there!!) 😉 plus its restaurant week in Boston so there is no better time.

Mamma Maria & Prezza are my latest favorites, just FYI.

  13. Just a hole in the wall, but try Ernesto’s Pizza on Salem Street. Warning: one slice is a 1/4 of a large pie! Learned that the hard way.

  14. Oh my goodness, you MUST go to the North End for dinner. My favorite restaurant ever is there. It’s called Trattoria Il Panino which is on Parameter St, right off of Hanover… its sooooooo good. And then afterwards go to Mike’s Pastry for the best cannoli’s ever! I eat there every time I go to Boston and I’m never disappointed 🙂 I think they have a website if you want to check out the menu.

  15. I concur that you need to eat dinner in the North End. Every time I visit my friend in Boston I ask to go there! I like Panza a whole lot. The eggplant parm makes me swoon. Here’s the website if you’re interested. It’s not as fancy as the website makes it out to be 🙂

  16. I love the game Never Have I Ever haha. So good.

Anyway, I just wanted to say you HAVE to try the North End and I have no idea how you have been missing out for so long!

  17. oooh you definitely need to hit up the north end. when my hubby and i were in boston we loved seeing all the cute places with their outdoor seating. we ate at one place one night but i wish we could’ve spent a leisurely afternoon sitting outside somewhere drinking wine 🙂

also, props to you on the early wakeup! I actually spent all summer waking up at 4 am on Thursdays to get my long run (marathon training) in and beat the st louis heat!

  18. When you do go to eat in the Italian (North) district, you’ve gotta try Giacamo’s! So delicious! It’s a tiny little place and usually has a wait, but it’s usually quick for a party of 2 to get in.

  19. I’ve noticed that so many people say it like that now! When I was younger we played “I’ve never…” And now all I ever see is people talking about “never have I ever.”

So mine is “I’ll never say ‘never have I ever’ because all of those extra words are so unnecessary!!” lol

  20. sung Veggie Tales style, “And I’ve never been to Boston in the fall.”

ok, that’s not true for me, but whenever I hear the phrase I’ve-never-been or something similar, I always think of that silly song.

Good for you not smoking, bad for you not eating in the NE.
    Check out Artu. Dare ya!
