I made my biggest batch of oatmeal this morning! The challenge was exciting and nerve-racking, but, in the end, I was victorious!
In the mix:
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups non-fat milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 banana, sliced
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp agave nectar
- Cinnamon
Serves 4
This batch was soooo creamy. Mmm… oatmeal! 😀
I topped my oats with two packets of Barney Butter.
And, I drank some iced coffee with breakfast.
Ask Me Anything
Keep ’em coming: Ask Me Anything!
Do you ever get sick of blogging?
Yes and no. I really enjoy blogging, but like any “job,” there are times that I don’t want to do it– particularly after a late night (and perhaps a couple of drinks) when I’d rather just go to bed.
How’s your hip? It sounds like you’re running strong again. What are your long term running goals?
It’s SO MUCH BETTER! I ran a total of 15 miles last week with NO pain! I’m pretty sure strength training, particularly my core, has helped heal my hip.
My long-term running goal is to stay healthy. And, I’d love to run another half marathon without bursitis! I bet my time would improve!
What is the #1 thing you and Mal argue about, if any?
Mal and I fight about dumb stuff. We argue back and forth for a bit and then it’s over. For instance, we bickered about the definition of “comfort food” last night. It was stupid.
Question of the Day
If you have a blog, what’s the craziest question or comment you’ve received?

The giant batch of oatmeal sounds great. I haven’t really received any weird questions/comments yet, actually, so fingers crossed! Although once someone left a comment saying “Hey Nat”. So not my name, lol…
My husband and I always have silly tiffs…but we are like you. It never lasts long and sometimes I swear my husband picks fights so we can make up! haha! 🙂 But I am on to his game!!
my husband and i argue over silly things.. sometimes we argue and then i just laugh when i think about the reason behind the argument.. it doesn’t last with us either.. love the oatmeal.. is barney butter a particular kind of regular butter?
Haha my hubby and I always fight about stupid stuff. I’m not sure we’ve ever had a fight over something that actually mattered haha. I haven’t gotten too many weird comments, but a ton of the searches that lead to me include sex, which is weird, because I’ve never even typed that word in my blog!!
Not really had any bad comments yet, but I’m sure my time will come 🙂
No crazy, outrageous comments on my blog yet!
Although when I first started out on a blogger webpage, I did get some odd ones because the spam mail wasn’t being rejected. 😉
Tina, this is Lynn, Marie’s older sister. I have been reading this blog for a long time now and wanted to tell you how much I love, love, love it!! I even got a few girls hooked at work. I see all your posts about Barney Butter and was wondering if you have ever tried The Bee’s Knees by Peanut Butter & Co. It is all natural and only has about 5 ingredients. It is a peanut butter with honey mixed in. They also make a bunch of other yummy flavors. I eat this stuff in everything and most of the time right off the spoon (like right now while I’m at work) It has about the same amount of calories and fat grams as Barney Butter. Just a suggestion. Thank you for having this blog, it is one of my daily requirements and I love seeing Grady and Bella get to play with Murphy!!
That oatmeal looks so good and creamy! The husband and I argue about stupid meaningless things too!
I probably haven’t gotten questions as crazy as some you’ve received, but most of my weird questions/comments are about my hair (which is naturally curly). Someone once asked me if I ever put yogurt in my hair. What??
Why did you move to a new apartment? The new one looks adorable!
My boyfriend and I argue exclusively about stupid things! I guess that is better than arguing about major things! 🙂
I love the new apartment! That circular window on the door is so cute and if I had made a pros vs. cons list for this place, that window would have definitely been on the pro list! I had bursitis so badly a couple of years ago, taking up strength training was my savior!
