Happy (belated) Mother’s Day!!!
This morning, I met my mom at my sister’s house for brunch and Mother’s Day celebrations. My mom had to work all last weekend, so we delayed getting together until this weekend. My mom really seemed to enjoy herself today, so I don’t think she minded waiting at all!
While my French Toast Souffle baked in the oven, we enjoyed some coffee and opened presents. My sister and I bought my mom a new digital camera for Mother’s Day. She was psyched! 😀
About 45 minutes later, the French Toast Souffle was ready and it was time to eat.
Just a quick FYI: This French Toast Souffle is the best recipe! It’s so easy to make and it’s always a crowd-pleaser.
My mom brought fresh fruit from Idylwilde Farms for brunch: pineapple, strawberries, watermelon, mango, and green grapes.
I was in fruit heaven! 😀
I helped myself to two small-ish servings of the French Toast Souffle and fruit.
And then went back for seconds of the French Toast Souffle and fruit. I also had a piece of maple bacon.
While we ate brunch, Murphy and Batman had some puppy playtime, which started out like usual with Batman tackling Murphy over and over again.
Batman! Gahhhh!
But, then Murphy grew some balls (well, metaphorically speaking) and starting dominating Batman.
Now, I’ve got you, Batman!
Headlock!
I think Murphy won in the end. Batman passed out! (Of course, Murphy wanted to play more!)
Look how big Batman has gotten in just one month! He’s taller than Murphy now!
Up next: squeezing in a quick workout and then going to Marie’s bachelorette party! Wahoo!
