Am I the only person who has never heard of wine locker?!? Well, apparently, Morton’s has a special Wine Locker Program, which gives customers an exclusive way to purchase and store their unique wine selection. These wine lockers are extremely limited and only available VIPs. Pretty fancy-schmancy, huh?
I’m not sure a wine locker is in my future anytime soon, but it was still pretty cool to be invited to Morton’s wine event this evening. These events are typically reserved for Morton’s wine locker holders, so I felt sort of special participating in such an upscale tasting.
At the event, there was a wonderful spread of food and passed appetizers from Morton’s famed kitchen.
I tried on all sorts of goodies.
I especially LOVED the sliders! They were cooked to perfection. The meat wasn’t over- or under-done and the bun was soft and buttery. I ended up eating two over the course of the evening.
The event also featured a silent auction and a raffle.
Mal and I purchased a bunch of raffle tickets with the hope of winning the gift certificate to KO Prime (because we’re obsessed), but we went home empty-handed. Oh, well. 😕
The wine tasting featured a number of high-quality (aka fancy-schmancy) wines from six vendors: M.S. Walker, Harborside Wine Company, Boston Wine, Ruby Wines, Horizon Beverage, and Martignetti. (M.S. Walker had a single bottle of wine that cost $1,476! Obviously, I bought two. 😉 )
I tried many wines that I enjoyed, but I only took photos of my favorites.
Over the course of the evening, the venue really filled up!
More favorites…
When Mal and I returned home from the event, we dug into some Cookie Friday cookies from one of my favorite bloggers: VeggieGirl! I’m convinced that she is the sweetest person ever! (She also sent Murphy his favorite toy: Big Bone!)
I’m not sure who was more excited about these cookies– Mal or me. He saw the box and immediately said: “I’m having some of those as soon as you open it!” 😆
Inside was a variety pack of the softest, most delicious cookies I have ever tasted.
Mal and I devoured two packages immediately. Yay for Cookie Friday!!!
Thanks, VeggieGirl! You are the BEST!!!!!
Now that we’re home, I’m pretty sure we’re going to dig into the cookies again for dessert! 😉

Looks like a swanky event! But yummy slider!
And delicious cookies! So beautifully wrapped and presented <3
Wow what a cool event!! That looks so fun. And Chalone Vineyards makes one of my favorite wines – – Their Pinot Noir is affordable and delicious! I haven’t had it in a while but now I’m craving it. I had an incredible cookie today, too – a chocolate cookie with caramel crunch through it. I didn’t even realize I was celebrating Cookie Friday with you!
SO happy that the cookies arrived on Cookie Friday – perfect, no? 😉 Enjoy!! And tell Murphy hello.
I’m so jealous of your life. All that wine…yum!!!
What a fun event! Good wine AND good food. What a Friday! 😀
Liz is too sweet! I love that they came on a Friday. How perfect
Yum on the cookies 🙂
I definitely don’t think a wine locker is in my future, but it does look like fun! And I love Mrs. Field’s cookies!
Fun party. You are just hitting up all the parties lately.
Very cool wine event, I love Morton’s. Many fancy schmancy restaurants have wine lockers, I always look for famous names on them. One restaurant I went to in West Palm Beach included Celine Dion’s wine locker! Lucky you received an invite to the event!
Mrs Fields are so good. I love their peanut butter dream bars. Soooo good.
It’s only fair that if you get to eat Mal’s M&Ms, he can sneak some of your cookies! Glad you shared 😉
YUM you are living the life Tina! that slide looked over-the-top good. what a fun night!
I’ve never heard of a wine locker either! I love your blog. And I love dogs, so your pictures of Murphy always make me smile. I have a basset hound. 🙂
Cookies are even better when you get them as gifts, I think… although I just made your no-bake pb balls, and they’re amazing!
That looks like such a fun night! Great gift, VeggieGirl!
I celebrated Cookie Friday today too! Now the Cookie Monster isn’t hungry for dinner ; )
I celebrated cookie friday by taste testing a few I baked for tomorrow’s bake sale 🙂 Chocolate chip butterscotch…perfect combination.
My friend’s brother is the chef at Morton’s here. I’ve heard it’s the best restaurant in Portland and I’ve yet to go there!
I wanted to let you know that I tried your squash fries recipe of olive oil and flaxseed meal on roasted broccoli and it was GREAT! I love crispy veggies but I usually have a problem getting them perfectly roasted. The flax on these formed a wonderful crust– will definitely be using this method again and again!
Sounds like a fun night and a GOOD cookie friday! I especially love those sliders, they are the cutest ones I’ve ever seen!
Those sliders look great! Looks like you had a great Friday 🙂
Looks like such a fun event! Vino and and sliders? Awesome.
i love silent auctions! i never win anything but i like that they’re not intimidating.
I love Foxen – it’s one of my favorite vineyards in the Santa Barbara area. Sadly, I can’t afford more than a bottle or so a year of their wonderful wine!
Wow, that auction does look fancy! That’s awesome. 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of wine but I’d go anyway ahah
Hmmmm cookies 😉
That’s a fun looking evening! How do you eat one of those sliders, standing up in public? I would be terrified of dripping it down my chin 😉 I love that they have an array of veggies too. Very cool.
Very fancy event – I adore silent auctions!! I once managed to win a headcollar for my horse in one, it was amazing…..
That burger looks amazing. A bit difficult to fit in your mouth though!!! That event looks great, shame you didn’t win what you wanted to. Cookie Friday sounds great especially when you have those cookies, what a beautiful box!
Wow…what a fancy event! That must have made for such a fun evening out! 😀
And the cookies look pretty delish. 😉
i didn’t know there was such thing as a wine locker either!!! And seriously..I use to be obsessed with Mrs. Field’s cookies…they use to tell boxes of them at Target and they were sooo soft and TODIEFOR.
Oh, you are a lucky girl! I would have died and gone to heaven last night with all that wine after the week I’ve had. 🙂
Yay for cookie Friday!
I wish we had fun events like this in Pittsburgh!
I have to agree on veggie girl! One sweet woman! Those are some sweet treats!
wow talk about a fancy place! very very nice!
Tina, have you ever tried Cheryl’s cookies? I’m pretty sure they are a central Ohio based company, but if you liked Mrs. Fields .. you would LOVE Cheryl’s! Yum .. love cookie Friday! Too bad I celebrate most days of the week hehe
That looks like such an awesome event, I’m jealous just looking at all the pictures!! I forgot to celebrate cookie friday…maybe I’ll just have to compensate with cookie Saturday instead!
VeggieGirl is such a kind, generous person.
Looks like it was a great time and lots of yummy wine!! And cookies to top it all off, sweet!
if you need someone to try that $1,476 wine with, I’m game! 😉
Mrs. Fields cookies are amazing. I totally forgot about her delicious cookies-I guess you can order them online now! There used to be a Mrs. Fields right by my high school. Everyday after school we would head there for a few warm cookies and/or a milkshake. Oh to have the metabolism of a high school student again!
I’m so glad you liked the Foxen wine. I visited that winery on a road trip up the CA coast and it’s the cutest little winery with a great product. I have not seen it in any stores around here.
That looks like so much fun! I went to Morton’s for a birthday party last weekend, and it looks like we got a similar spread. I loved those chicken fingers! And I agree that the sliders were good… but kind of hard to eat while standing.
