Mmm! Two of my favorite foods together in one dessert! Smooth peanut butter and sweet banana combine to make these thick, muffin-like bars. All they need now are chocolate chips!

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 stick of butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ripe banana
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray 8”³ X 8”³ baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ingredients until smooth.
  4. Spread batter in prepared baking pan and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until bars are cooked all the way through.
  5. Let bars cool completely in pan before cutting.

Makes 12 bars

  2. Thanks for sharing! These look yummy, and definitely need some chocolate chip lovin’! On the other hand, that weird ad for Baconalia or something (was that really ice cream with bacon on it?!) from Denny’s looked disturbing! haha!

    nothing like a good old jar of teddies in the background! that stuff is better than crack! its seriously amazing!!!! i dont understand why people consume skippys or jif when that stuff is just soooo sooo good!!!
