Hopefully, I’m not being too annoying, but please vote for me in the Stonyfield Blogger Barnstorming Tour! If I end up going on the tip, my charity of choice, Back on My Feet (BOMF), will get $5,000, which is enough to put nearly three members through their program.

I’ve actually been in touch with the folks at BOMF and they featured me on their blog yesterday. Neat! They even invited me to experience BOMF firsthand, bright and early, on Monday morning with the inaugural run of the Boston chapter. (You know I’ll be there for the photo opp! ;-)) Following the run, I was also invited to attend the Back on My Feet “Breakfast in Your Sneakers” event. Very cool! I’m really excited to get involved with this organization!

Breakfast

I kept breakfast simple this morning. (I was too tired to think after last night’s festivities!) I had plain Chobani yogurt with about 1 cup of Maple Pecan Quinoa granola mixed in.

The Maple Pecan Quinoa is Galaxy Granola’s newest flavor, so they sent it to me to sample. It’s made with oats, spelt, barley, maple, pecans, quinoa, oat bran, white grape juice concentrate, apples, crisp rice, coconut flakes, and cinnamon. It’s quite delicious!

Snack

After taking a Body Pump class this morning, I rocked the Chobani again– this time, pomegrante flavor. When the weather gets warm, all I want to eat is cold food, like yogurt, smoothies, and ice cream. Heavy food is just not appealing to me.

Lunch

Today’s lunch was a big salad with all of the fixings: lots of veggies, grilled tofu, BBQ KooLoos, and balsamic vinegar.

I finished off lunch with my favorite new treat: hippy butter + caramel sauce. I actually ended up eating two pieces just like this. So yuuum! 😀

I’m already thinking about a mango smoothie as an afternoon snack. I have a very, very ripe mango in the fridge that needs to be eaten ASAP!

Mohegan Sun

I love birthdays… especially when it’s my husband’s! I’ll try not to be too cheesy, but Mal and I really have a fun time together. He’s my favorite person to hang out with because we’re always laughing at each other together. So, of course, I’m really looking forward to our weekend away. (Murphy is staying with my sister and Batman!)

Mal and I have history of fun trips to Mohegan, so I thought I’d do a little recap on the blog this afternoon. Enjoy!

April 2004

Our April 2004 trip was long before I started blogging, so I don’t have a recap (or many photos). I actually had to scan this photo from a hardcopy. I do remember, however, that Mal and I drank quite a few martinis at the Star Bar! 😉

Recognize my pink shirt? Six years later, I’m still wearing it! It definitely went out of style and came back into style! 😉

February 2009

In February 2009, Mal and I visited Mohegan with our friends, Dave and Marie, to celebrate Marie’s birthday.

May 2009

And, the most recent time Mal and I visited Mogehan was for his birthday last year. He loved it!
