This morning, I had planned to attend a yoga class at Real Life Yoga, but, sadly, things didn’t work out as planned. ๐Ÿ˜•

I should have known yoga wasn’t in the cards for me today as soon as I realized that I forgot my mat. I always keep my yoga mat in the trunk of my car, but I used it at home the other day. Boo.

When I arrived at the yoga room, no one was inside. I thought maybe people were just running late, so I waited.

A good 15 minutes passed and no one showed up. I guess I missed the memo about class being canceled. Bummer. ๐Ÿ˜• My hips really needed a good stretch!

So, when I got home, I took Murphy for a walk.

I had planned to make our walk my workout for the day, but Murphy was just not in the mood. About a mile into the walk, he laid down on a random lawn and put the biggest pug pout on his face.

Wah, I don’t wanna walk.

Eventually, I got Murphy to start walking again, but there were a lot of stops and starts for the rest of our walk, including plenty of stick chewing.

Snack

After our walk, I snacked on the last mini Apple Cinnamon Muffin and drank some iced Sugar Caramel Oolong tea with vanilla soy milk.

Lunch

Today’s lunch was a leftover Zucchini Fritter on a toasted Sandwich Thin with some shredded mozzarella. It was basically an upscale egg sandwich. ๐Ÿ˜‰

After lunch, I satisfied my sweet tooth with my new favorite treat: peanut butter + caramel sauce on a Sandwhich Thin. Holy delicious!

Snack

My lunch was kind of pathetic, so, not surprisingly, I was hungry again a few hours later. ๐Ÿ˜•ย So, I made myself a snack… an awesome snack: Peanut Butter Puffins Smoothie. Seriously, you gotta try this one! ๐Ÿ˜€

Peanut Butter Puffins Smoothie

Makes 1

Combine the following ingredients in a blender:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter Puffins

  1. This happened to me the other day too! I waited 20 min for a Zumba class that was cancelled but I never got the memo. Frustrating!

    I've heard a lot of good things about PB puffins… they sound like they'd be delicious in a smoothie. Why haven't I ever thought of blending cereal in a smoothie?!

    Your lunch looks delicious, but I guess just a sandwich and dessert wouldn't hold you over very well. :S The dessert sounds divine, though! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Oh Murhpy! I totally feel you – some days you just don’t want to walk.

    Lousy about the class. You would think they would have posted a sign on the door announcing no class today. Weird. There should have been a notice – especially since someone might not know and just show up.

  4. Argh! We can’t get peanut butter puffins here in Australia – or ANY ANY ANY peanut butter cereal. Or Barney Butter. I’m a very sad panda right now.

  5. That picture of Murphy with the stick as well as the one with him from the previous entry had me laughing out loud at work. He’s so cute!
