Tonight, Chandra, Monica, and I got a little creative in the kitchen. We whipped up a very delicious batch of cookies, which were inspired by Matt Damon and Heather’s Vegan Snack Time Cookies recipe.
Matt Damon Cookies
Makes 18 cookies

- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups your choice of goodies*
- Preheat oven to 375*F.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well until batter is blended evenly.
- Portion cookies on a greased baking sheet, approximately 1-2 inches apart.
- Bake cookies for approximately 12 minutes.
- Remove cookies from baking sheet and allow to cool on wire rack.
- Eat and enjoy!
* We added butterscotch chips, Cape Cod potato chips, raisins, and chopped walnuts to our cookies.
These cookies were a big hit in our house!
Heading to bed shortly. Good night!
Those cookies look amazing!!! I just ate butterscotch chips with caramel apple popcorn….all because of you, Tina 🙂 Your oft-remarks of those chips made me want to buy them, so I did. And eat them. SO I do! g-night!
I love that you guys made Matt Damon into cookies. Who knew he was full of whole grains?
Yummm (to both the cookies, and Matt Damon!) I can’t wait to go and see Adjustment Bureau… and these cookies sound like perfect snackage to smuggle into the theater!
Love Matt Damon, cookies and visiting you 🙂
Delicious cookies! What a fun time you’ve been having!
yum, those sound amazing! quick question though: what are cape cod chips? if it’s anything like the mixed drink i’ll take ’em 😉
Yum!!! They look delicious just like Matt Damon (minus 10 years thank you.)
Hmmm..Matt Damon inspiring a vegan cookie, nice. 😛

YUM! Butterscotch Cookies!!!
Yum, those look good!
true story – matt damon once hit on my friend, who kinda looks like monica
I’m pretty much positive that there isn’t anything that would be bad if it had “Matt Damon” in the title, and these are no different! They look amazing!
I love the name!
They look fabulous!
I know you love butterscotch chips…me too!
I don’t even know what Cape Cod chips are? Have I been living in CA too long..maybe it’s an East Coast thing…off to google it 🙂
The cookies look awesome! Btw, what are Cape Cod chips??
good luck on your race!
All of you are geniuses! (spelling?)
Potato chips in cookies – YUMMY! 😀
Those cookies look yummy! I am going to see the Adjustment Bureau today, can’t wait!
I must have missed something…what does Matt Damon have to do with these cookies?
I was wondering the same thing! I think it might be some sort of inside joke OR have to do with the cookies being as yummy as Matt Damon? Just a thought. I saw The Adjustment Bureau this weekend and I can see why someone would be inspired to bake cookies in his honor. YUM!
Monica’s blog explains it 🙂 http://runeatrepeat.com/2011/03/06/im-blogging-matt-damon/
Cape Cod Chips sound questionable—I’m imagining a fish flavored chip…trying to mix in with butterscotch….but I’ll have you know, I’m from landlocked Iowa…and am just basing that on all the ‘Cape Cod’ stereotypes you can possibly imagine.
Why exactly are these inspired by Matt Damon? Is it just ’cause both are delicious? 😀
YAY for cookies! I just made some this evening! Cookies are one of my favorites to make! 😀
Matt Damon huh? Chips in cookies are so freakin genius!
You had me at Matt Damon. And you had me at cookies. 🙂 They look delish.
What’s a Cape Cod chips? I don’t think they sell those in Cali.
Hope those cookies are good fuel for your race tomorrow!! Good luck!!
LOVE matt damon
I AM IN LOVE WITH MATT DAMON. But wait, why are they named after him? Just because he’s gorgeous? Honestly I don’t need a reason to dedicate things to him….lol
Not only do those cookies look delicious but how can you not love the name.
The chips in the cookies sound like a great salty crunch!
i’m not sure I get the Matt Damon tie-in with the cookies, but since I love him, who cares?? 🙂 I may have to make these cookies anyway!. And maybe I’ll have a Gerard Butler smoothie for breakfast. And a George Clooney veggie burger for dinner…..what a great day it will be!
Ooh, looking delicious. Just what I need right now…
I’m not sure where the Matt Damon influence is, but these look tasty nonetheless!
I recognize Mal’s Pacific Beach lulu hoodie! We have tons of those at the outlet right now. 🙂
I love the last pic, with all of the dogs hanging out and probably hoping for a piece of Matt Damon. Haha!
I’m not sure I get the connection… Matt Damon = delicious = cookies?? Haha. 😛
My blog post yesterday was about indulging with some eye candy, Matt Damon. I went to see The Adjustment Bureau and it was excellent! Now I have to make delicious Matt Damon cookies and indulge some more!
Haha! Clever! 😉
those cookies look awesome, but it looks like ya’ll had an even better time enjoying one anothers company!!
The name sold me on these cookies!! Plus they look great!
What a great simple recipe. I’m saving this one.
Cape Cod chips? As in…potato chips?
Cape cod chips in a cookie?! This is blowing my mind right now…
I really like that Matt Damon and I come together in your minds. You crazy girls.
And yes everyone, chips in cookies are rad to the bone.
Haha the name of the cookies just cracks me up! 😛 Very creative indeeed~~~I love the fact that it’s such a short recipe as well.
Just saw Matt’s latest flick…wish I could say it was better but he can do no wrong in my eyes! He seems so cool and down-to earth!
Oooh.. .I want some cookies with my order of Matt please! LOL
They’re a pretty basic “toll house” version (using whole wheat flour) and the oats I guess? Sounds easy enough. I’m thinking something like some craisins and dark chocolate chips or carob chips? Hmmmm?
oh my gosh congrats that so exciting!!! I just preordered my copy!!! 🙂 YAY!!!
