Oooh, baby… I have the perfect recipe for you when that chocolate craving hits. These are not your average brownies made with flour, eggs, and sugar. Nope, not that!
Believe it or not, you can make a batch of brownies with whole food ingredients that are not only rich and decadent, but packed with protein and nutrition too. And, bonus, they’re naturally gluten-free! The base of these Macro-Friendly Protein Brownies is made with peanut butter and banana (hello, yum already!), and they get a boost of protein and healthy fats from protein powder and walnuts.
Whip up a batch of these while you do the rest of your weekly meal prep. Then, when your sweet tooth calls, you’ll have a healthier treat ready to go. You can also freeze these brownies (tip: make a double batch) and take out to enjoy as needed. If you like a gooey brownie, pop one in the microwave for a few minutes for that chocolatey brownie bliss. Just add a scoop of vanilla Greek yogurt for an added protein punch! 🙂
