M. Gemi at the Derby Street Shoppes

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

Hi, guys!

I had a fun girls’ night last night with my friend Marisa. We met up at Legal C Bar for drinks, apps, and plenty of chit-chat about everything and anything.

Wine flight? Yes, please!

We shared oysters, Bang Bang Cauliflower, and tuna sashimi – all were delicious!

My Bang Bang Cauliflower recipe was actually inspired by the one at Legal C Bar! 🙂

After that, we headed over to the brand new M. Gemi store at the Derby Street Shoppes.

The brand invited me to a special private event, and I knew Marisa was a huge fan of M.Gemi already, so I invited her along.

Never heard of M.Gemi? Well, you are in for a treat! They make handmade Italian leather shoes, made in Italy – the old way, but sold the new way, in-store and online. M.Gemi has fast, free shipping and returns, and they’re always “dropping” new styles, so be sure to get on their email list!

There were all sorts of Italians wines, meats, and cheeses to enjoy at the event. Obviously, I had a glass of wine! 🙂

I was THISCLOSE to buying a pair of M.Gemi signature moccasins, but I ended up passing and now I totally regret it!

They’re seriously the comfiest shoes ever, so now I’m seriously considering going back to Derby Street and buying a pair for myself. I’m leaning toward the Stone color. Thoughts? It comes in so many colors, so the decision is tough!

I kind of like the straight up leather moccasin in Fog too. Decisions, decisions!

Question of the Day

Ever heard of M.Gemi? Which moccasins should I buy? They’re seriously SO COMFY, and I could see myself wearing them a ton!

  1. Yikes, I couldn’t ever spend that much on shoes. I can get a pair of Minnetonka moccasins on sale for $40 and I consider that expensive… :0

    1. @Brie: But they are SO worth it. I own 5 pairs now and they are my favorite shoes. I have ones in hydrangea, tangerine, dusty pink, ruby, and leopard and get so many compliments!

  2. Oh my gosh! Thank you for this post! I have been following the M. Gemi brand for over a year now, and I am obsessed with the idea. I am so glad to see they finally opened a store in Massachusetts! I came THIS CLOSE to buying a pair of those mocs a month ago for a work conference because I knew I’d be on my feet for two days in a row and wanted something comfortable. I didn’t because I wasn’t sure of sizing, and I didn’t have time to return them if I ordered them online.

The color is such a tough choice for me too. I think I was going to go with a light tan/gray, but I seriously love them all! I always say you can’t go wrong in classic black, especially for a timeless shoe like this.

  3. They are the best most comfortable shoes! I have the loafers, but I plan on getting a couple more shoes from them – I’m pretty sure they are now my go-to shoe company. I’ve taken them around the world and they’ve held up really well. I can’t say enough good things about them! And I’m thrilled that they have a store in Derby Street – I hope it’s still there when I’m back in town end of September.

  4. I love those shoes, but for some reason they tend not to look good on my feet. I think they are for a certain body type or something. But super comfy!!
