Breakfast
I rocked Oats In A Jar for breakfast this morning. It’s crazy how fast Mal and I can plow through a jar of peanut butter. We both have peanut butter “problems.”
In the mix: oats, canned pumpkin, soy milk, raisins, almonds, ground flaxseed meal, chia seeds, and cinnamon.
I also drank an iced coffee with eggnog”¦ because I also have an eggnog “problem.”

Health Tips
Check out my health tip on Glamour.com: Health Tips: the Healthiest Decisions of the Year. My tip is on slide #2!
Question of the Day
What was your healthiest decision of 2010?
Tina! Congrats on your Woman’s Day News! I am so excited for you! My healthiest decision for 2010 was to add variety to my workouts and meals. I always get into a routine of eating the same thing and doing the same workout every day, so adding variety really spiced up my daily routine!
tina you’re a legit celeb now. go on a book tour, please. i mean, once the book is released and all.
Congrats on all of these great opportunities! You are a rock star!
Healthiest decision of 2010? Giving my body the rest and fuel it needs to pummel through my busy days! 🙂
Congrats Tina; this is wonderful…so happy for you!
Congratulations Tina!!! That is so awesome 😀
Wow, you’re famous!^^
Congrats!

Hey Tina! I love your Glamour.com tip! But remember when you did your “Lose the Dough” challenge for your 30th bday? Was it after that you ditched the scale and realized that a number on the scale is senseless to get worried over?
I too am done with the scale! It would depress me when I’d see the fluctuations but I realized that my pants still fit and actually looked and fitted on me better, which told me it must have been muscle weight gain. I’m so much happier having ditched the scale and just focus on how my clothes feel and how happy and healthy I feel on the inside! 🙂
@Shayla: Yep! I have the story coming in my afternoon post!
@Lauren: LOL! Love the “island dance”!!! 🙂
My scale broke last year and because I hadn’t kept an eye on how much I weighed I gained the 15 pounds I had previously lost plus 15 more. If I had bought a new scale right away, I don’t think I would have gained so much. I would have noticed the changes early and I could have done something about controlling my diet and exercising more. Losing weight is especially difficult for me (even with diet and exercise) so it’s going to be really difficult losing these 30 pounds. I really regret not getting a new scale earlier.
How exciting for the Woman’s Day site, congrats! I’ve been seeing lots of OpenSky deals. Breakfast looks yummy.
Healthiest decision has been to skip fast and processed foods and up my running.
Congrats on the opportunity! I will definitely be putting in a submission.
It’s hard to tell what my healthiest decision is since I’ve made so many. I think a great decision was to start eating more veggies. Since I am NOT a vegetable person, I committed myself to trying at least one vegetable a week. It has really helped and I have tried a lot of new vegetables because of it.
the healthiest decision of 2010?? I quit drinking alcohol……and it has made me feel healthier and happier than i have ever been……:-)
i love that pic of you and murphy so cute.
isn’t it a bit ironic that glamour said really bad things about health food blogs and now they are posting your tips in their mag? just weird to me.
congrats on womens day!!:)
@jenna: When did that happen!?!
My healthiest decision of 2010 was to run a half marathon! The training really taught me to push my body and fuel it properly. It changed me whole perspective on health!
My healthiest decision of 2010 was to force myself to change my destructive restrictive eating habits. I am making steps to get my eating back in check and along with training for a half- marathon next month, I am well on my way to recovery! 🙂
Awesome news about working with Eggland’s Best!! I probably have eggs at least two times a day..they’re the perfect protein!
My healthiest decision of 2010 was to gain weight. Now I’m back to being healthy 🙂
My healthiest decision was to start cooking more meals at home and to stop saying yes, sometime you cannot do it all.
My healthiest decision was to go for natural products.
I have ditched the artificial sweetener and use organic or raw sugar in my morning coffee. Now I’m even cutting back on that.
I’ve also decided not to be afraid of bread. I eat fresh, homemade bread almost daily with no dieter’s remorse.
Even if the outside of my body doesn’t change, I know the inside will thank me for these decisions.
Congratulations!! Sounds amazing and can’t wait to hear mor!
Congrats! You’ve had so many fun opportunities lately!
The healthiest decision I made this year was to get over my restrictive eating habits. And I couldn’t have done it without blogs like yours as inspiration. 🙂
Congrats! My healthiest decision was to become an a.m. worker outer!
I think my healthiest decision of 2010, was going as organic as I can with all aspects of my life, especially food.
I made so many healthy decisions this year! I gave up sugar, became vegan, and started my own business of personal training and nutritional coaching. I am living my dream!! =)
I just started to follow your blog and congrats to your successes!
The best decision I made this year was finding this cute little pilates studio near my house. I love supporting small businesses. Plus I totally needed a change of scenery. My other gym, I got too caught up with talking to my gym friends, I had no time for a workout!
To get my weight under control and to take charge of yo-yoing. Still working through it, but I am healthier and happier than I have ever been and have stopped using food as a problem solved.
