Little Miss Scatterbrain

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I feel like Little Miss Scatterbrain this morning! πŸ˜•

My mind is constantly thinking about what needs to be done next– it pretty much makes an endless To Do List for me. I’m sure that this sounds sort of annoying to most people, but I’ve learned how to deal with it and make it work to my advantage. I can usually get a lot done in a small amount of time! πŸ˜€

One of my “go to” strategies for shutting off my brain at bedtime is keeping a pad of paper and a pen on my bedside table, so if these To Do List tasks sneak into my thoughts, I can write them down and deal with them in the morning. Last night, however, I didn’t use this strategy and just thought I’d remember what I needed to do when I woke up. There were 2 things that I needed to do today. I remembered one, but I cannot remember the second thing… and it’s driving me nuts! πŸ‘Ώ Hopefully, it will come to me. Well, at least, I learned my lesson!

I actually woke up to exercise before work this morning, so by the time I was finished, I was famished and ready to eat breakfast!Β

Yesterday’s “winning combination” didn’t hold me over that well, so I reverted back to good ol’ oats this morning.

In the mix: Oats, wheat bran, ground flaxseed meal, vanilla hemp milk, canned pumpkin, chopped walnuts, and peanut butter.Β

With a side of sliced pear…

Oatmeal + pear with hemp iced coffee…Β

Question of the Day

Which Little Miss (or Mr. Man) character are you? (You can find a 3-page listΒ of Little Miss characters here.)

  1. I definitely feel like Little Miss Busy… but I think having 1 1/2 months until my wedding, 3 weeks until graduation, and working 20 hours a week makes that inevitable.

  2. I think I’m a different Little Miss every day! These remind me of characters we used with the students at a therapeutic school I worked at. So cute!

Is that a Denby bowl in the center of your table? We registered for the Denby Truffle line for our wedding and I have plates/bowls/serve-ware on the brain πŸ˜‰

  3. I LOVE the Little Miss/Mr books!! I even took them from my mom’s house when she threatened to put them in a garage sale. πŸ™‚ I’d like to think I’m Little Miss Sunshine, most of the time. πŸ™‚

  4. I am definitely Little Miss Busy – I always like to be on the go. I also make lists and use the same strategy at night to prevent my brain from running away on me πŸ™‚

  5. Depends on what day of the week it is I’m a little Miss something different.
Today I might be Little Miss Bossy because I feel like nothing is getting done at work, oh well.

  6. I do that all the time! I used to love the LIttle Miss books πŸ™‚ Now I’m probably a mix of Little Miss Scatterbrain and Little Miss Helpful.

  7. I’m totally Miss Scatterbrained, I do the list at my bedside too!! It does help, and I hope you remember that other thing, but don’t stress, we can’t expect TOO much from ourselves! πŸ™‚

  8. Considering I just spent a substantial amount of time learning about the “Little Misses,” I should be Little Miss Procastinator. Alas, she doesn’t exist, so I am going Scatterbrain.

  9. This is a great topic – thanks for bringing it up. I think many of us have probably been kept up at night worrying about what we need to do the next day. I have never tried the pad of paper – but it sounds like a great idea.

I also think I’m either Little Miss Helpful or Little Miss Tiny (mainly because I’m super short!)

  10. i think i’m little miss curious..which may be why i love reality TV, food blogs, gossip mags, and pretty much anything else where you can learn little tidbits about people. curious sounds way better than nosey haha.

  11. i definitely know this feeling, not only in the morning :/
i think i’m Little Miss Helpful or Little Miss Books
    how funny they are..

  12. i think i would be little miss bossy or shy! weird combo but very true lol. love your oats and coffeee… it’s my morning ritual too!

  13. Probably Little Miss Busy of Little Miss Helpful (which contributes to Little Miss Busy haha)! I’m always doing favors for people, so sometimes I need to step back and do favors for myself!! πŸ™‚

    Oats look great Tina!
    Have a great day!

  14. I DO THE SAME THING!!! I just jot down whatever is on my mental to do list/mind in general so that I can “let go” of whatever is bugging me for the night!

  15. I am so Little Miss Busy! It’s totally true, I do not stop. But I know how you feel, I get scatterbrained too, making a list helps πŸ™‚

  16. I’m sure I’m about 5 of the Little Misses (Mrs.?) but I feel ya on the scatterbrained thing. I just feel like there is so much I want to accomplish and not enough time to get it all done! But there are only so many hours in the day, so I have to make do πŸ™‚
