It’s Like Trello and Gmail Had a Baby (Sunsama)

Hi, guys!

I was up and at ’em this morning working away. I recently discovered Sunsama (thank you to the IG follower who suggested it to me!!), and I’m absolutely obsessed. It’s basically the organization tool that I’ve dreamed about. I love Trello and always wished it worked with my Google calendar. Well, Sunsama is basically like Trello and Gmail had a baby! You can add tasks and events to your calendar, and there’s even a running To Do list (with checkboxes) on the side – and you can easily toggle back and forth between the two. You can even simply drag them back and forth to rearrange your day as needed.

The only downside to Sunsama is that it’s desktop and web-based, so there isn’t an official app yet, but I made a shortcut on my phone, which works just fine. I hope an app is in the works!

I did about an hour of work before Quinn woke up. We headed downstairs for snuggles and breakfast. On the menu for me: A piece of toast with Kite Hill chive spread and an egg on top.

And, of course, iced coffee with vanilla bean collagen in my favorite tumbler with glass straw. This is seriously my favorite way to start the day! 🙂

After breakfast, I have no clue where the time went. I got Quinn ready for school, walked Murphy, and then got myself dressed for the day. Mal needed to drop his car off at the dealership, so I dropped off Quinn at school and met him there.

Photo above: Mal made plans to golf with a friend later this morning, so that’s why his clubs are in the backseat of my car. Quinn is counting the months until Christmas on his fingers! 🙂

Question of the Day

What’s your favorite organization tool for To Do lists and calendars?

  1. okay totally checking this out – I need something to help keep me organized at work and I don’t want to clutter my personal planner with office stuff!!! I actually like when things are desktop based, my terrible eyesight isn’t great with tiny phone apps…haha thanks for sharing!

    1. @jordan @ dancing for donuts: Do you use a hand-to paper type of personal planner? 🙂 Do you have a specific brand you’d recommend?

Also, I recently just started Trello so I don’t want to switch to Sunsama yet…I also like that you’re able to customize the background in Trello 🙂 Creative spaces make for more motivation, in my opinion. Agree or no?

  2. Just curious because I noticed that you are eating eggs again. I had eggs show up as a food sensitivity on the EverlyWell test but have never noticed any issues with them. Have you had any reoccurring issues other than acne?

    1. I’m not sure what to think about eggs. I’ve been craving them lately, so I have them a few times a week now. I’m also doing some detoxing, so I assume that is helping with the acne. It’s hard to know for sure, but I’m loving eggs right now! 🙂

  3. Just noticed you were eating eggs again. I also had eggs come up as a food sensitivity on the EverlyWell test but have never noticed issues with eating them. Have you experienced any more symptoms with eating them again?

  4. I use Todoist and love it. It syncs with my google calendar, plus I can add To-dos right from my gmail. I would love a post o n how you manage your to do list by the way!

  5. Does this brand of collagen mix better? I tried to mix the vital proteins brand and I still had clumps in my iced coffee. ;(. I used a shaker and all.
