I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

Look what was waiting for me when I arrived home last night:

It’s my packet of information for Team in Training and the Honolulu Marathon. Inside was a TNT participant manual, a runner’s guide, ideas for raising money, our team training schedule, and lots of other goodies.

Training officially started yesterday with 30 minutes of crossing training. I guess I’ll count my 6-mile run as cross training! 😉 Today is a rest day, which works out well because Mal and I are looking at a couple of houses later this morning and I need to get my life in order after being away for a week and a half!

Breakfast

I slept for 9 hours last night and feel amazing this morning. I’m pretty much back to “normal.” 😉

I started my day with an iced coffee + chocolate Amazing Grass + skim milk drink. I don’t usually like Amazing Grass, but the chocolate flavor is tasty mixed with iced coffee and milk.

To eat, I enjoyed some overnight oats made with oats, skim milk, ground flaxseed meal, honey-glazed cashews, and Barney Butter.

  2. I’m so impressed you had the idea and ENERGY to make overnights oats last night. I did all I could do to walk through the door, throw my luggage on the floor, and plop into bed! Then again, I guess that’s what 8-1/2 hours in the airport + 2 missed flights will do to ya! 😯 lol
