Good morning and happy Monday! I’m not going to lie, it was sooooo nice sleeping in this morning. Well, 7:30 is sleeping in for me, but it was still sweet! I’m lovin’ my leisurely Monday morning! 😎
Last Night’s Dinner
I felt a tad blogged-out last night, so I skipped it and hung out with friends instead. Mal and I headed upstairs to Josh and Danielle’s place for some drinks, some laughs, and some brownie sundaes! The brownie sundaes were a wonderful surprise. Of course, I didn’t turn down one. 😉
For dinner, Mal whipped-up a filet of almond-crusted scrod. He used a skillet to cook each side, but the fish ended up sticking to the pan and falling apart. It tasted wonderful though!
With dinner, we enjoyed some white wine. By the end of the evening, Mal and I drank the entire bottle. 😳
With garden-fresh green beans and broccoli…
Breakfast was a toasted raisin bagel with a nice, thick layer Teddie peanut butter.
With a perfect peach…
On the agenda for today:
- Finish FGW post
- Post office to mail HW passes
- Grocery store for tailing-gating goodies
- Pick up bridesmaid dress
- Buy outfit for HLS?
- Start planning sister’s bach
- Prepare Monday night giveaway! 😀
31 Days of Summer
Here’s the first 31 Days of Summer contribution from Meghan:
- For runners: Find a sprinkler while out on your run, and go through it!
Question of the Day
What’s your Monday mini goal?
Hi Tina, i noticed that you and several others eat bagels for some mornings and you take the whole bagel. I was just wondering what is the size of the bagels you take as the ones i find at my supermarts are rather huge and heavy. thanks
I’m glad your mini vaca is off to a good start! Those bagels look glorious!
@Lena: I suppose it’s a little bigger than a peach.
Good luck getting your to do list done!
My goal for this week is to really pay attention to honoring my bodies signals of hunger and fullness.

Delicious looking breakfast — what brand of bagels do you enjoy? Looks heavenly 😉
My mini goal is to go swimming in the pond every day this week!
Your dinner looks delicious, fallen apart or not! My Monday mini goal is to get a few good workouts in this week since I’ll be away all weekend and most definitely will not be exercising! Have a good one!
My mini goal is to strength train at least twice this week. I’ve been slacking!

My Monday mini-goal is to get through today with a smile after only 6 hours of sleep 🙂
Tina – what camera do you have? Your pictures are amazing!
Ahhh, I love brownies + ice cream. In college we used to make it a weekly tradition – “sunday sundaes”. Good luck with the to-do list!
Mmm brownie sundaes!!
My Monday mini-goal is to start cleaning out my cabinets and my closets. My BF and I are moving in a few weeks and combining households, so I’d like to cut down on the clutter BEFORE we move and try to squeeze everything in.
Brownie sundaes and vino – excellent way to cap off the week! Glad you guys had fun with friends last night! Have a great Monday 🙂
To be nicer to myself today! I woke up feeling icky about my skin, my hair, my clothes… I need to stop the negativity and get on with my day already!
Don’t you just *love* teddys peanut butter? I’ve tried all different kinds but always go back to teddy…I think it’s the best. 😀
I LOVE the 31 Days of Summer idea, I just had to let you know…todays’ tip is especially fun. I literally laughed out loud and promised myself to do it next time I see a sprinkler. 😀
Enjoy your time off from work! 😀
My mini goal is to run 3 times this week and to also be all caught up with laundry before the weekend. Kind of random, but still….
Enjoy your day off! My goal is to work on my strength training and gain some weight:)

that gooey pb looks absolutely delish!
Interesting picture on that there wine bottle! 😉 I love white wine!
My mini goal is to stop grazing!! Proper snack = ok, grabbing random handfuls of cereal or Kashi TLCs throughout the day = not ok. I’m feeling my pants getting tighter and I KNOW this is why. Grrrr!
Peanut butter = great addition to breakfast!
My mini goal is to work on getting into the gym three times this week for strength training!
My mini goal is to run 7 miles today and stetch my hip flexors more every day. They are sore today!

Love the dinner and the wine! Hehe. Hope you enjoy your mini vacay from work 😉 My Monday mini goal is to find something to be happy about, every day.
Mini-goal…finish all of my thank you notes from the wedding! Almost there!
How could the fish stick to the pan? Did you not use a teflon pan?
That bagel is making my mouth water. Yum!
My mini goal is to start playing the piano more during the week and not just on Sundays…
@Jenny: Why would I use Teflon?
My mini goal is to plan out my meals for the week. I haven’t been doing that and the scale is starting to show the consequences of my actions. 🙁
Why would you not use Teflon? Just curious!
or whatever the non-stick pans are called!!
My mini-goal for the is to just get to the gym today. Hunni and I had a 4 hour drive back from Maine today so I’m tired but want to get in a good workout still.
brooooownie suuuuundae!!! (i’m announcing that like oprah would)
I totally didn’t realize that was fish on your dinner plate until you said it was. I thought it was rice with some sauce on it! LOL.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
