My morning started like most other Saturdays: eating my usual pre-run breakfast, meeting running friends at the South Boston Running Emporium, and cranking out a long run together.
Today’s run was a 13-mile route from Southie to the Boston Common around the Charles River and back. I ran with Nick and Ashley again, and we finished in 1:58:36 (9:07 pace).

Nick and Ashley picked up the pace at the end of our run, so I pushed myself to keep up. I really love running with other people for this reason. I swear these two are going to make me a faster runner!
After the run, I refueled with Marylou’s Almond Joy iced coffee and leftover Buffalo Chicken Pizza from last night’s dinner. Clearly, proper nutrition was on my mind this afternoon.
Now, I’m heading to a friend’s bachelorette party of the night. I have a feeling it’s going to be ridiculous!!!
