Quinn had his first joyride yesterday!
(I realize “joyride” typically refers to stealing or recklessly driving a car, but I assure you, Quinn drove responsibly and purely for enjoyment.)
Rewind to Christmastime
My mom wanted to update her living room, so she talked about getting new slipcovers for her couch and loveseat. My sister and I considered buying them for her as a Christmas present, but then we agreed that slipcovers just wouldn’t cut it. Both her couch and loveseat were a good 20 years old with sagging cushions and virtually no support. Long story short, we decided to buy her new furniture and got her a gift card to Jordan’s Furniture, which was much more exciting than slipcovers and she was totally pumped!
Insert an insane winter + nearly 109 inches of snow
Yesterday, we finally visited Jordan’s to pick out my mom’s new furniture! Hooray!
We ended up going to the Reading location because it has all sorts of fun stuff in addition to furniture, including “Beantown,” a replica of downtown Boston made up of nearly twenty-five million Jelly Belly jelly beans, an IMAX 3D theater, and a Fuddruckers. You could seriously spend the whole day there!
As soon as we walked into Jordan’s, we saw a bunch of taxi carts to drive the kiddos around in. And, of course, Quinn wanted to go for a ride.
Despite his face in the photos below, I swear he liked it. Haha!
Crusin’ with Grandma!
My mom did her research ahead of time, so she already had a vision for her living room. She just wanted to see the options in person and test them out firsthand.
Cousins playing! So cute!
My mom ended up going with the couch below, but in navy blue, and she opted for a chair instead of the matching loveseat because it fit better in her living room. I can’t wait to see them in her house in a few weeks!
After shopping, we hit up Fuddruckers for lunch.
The saleswoman, who helped my mom, recommended the salmon, so that’s what I ordered. It was really good, especially with a little salsa and honey mustard on top. Delish!
