Hi, guys! Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? I shared a little recap of Friday night with Quinn and then Saturday was kind of a blur. We did our usual “gym day” followed by coffee and donuts and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening hanging out at home – nothing too exciting to report. We woke up on Sunday without any plans, but the day ended up shaping up! Here’s a little recap.
Qman and I were up and at ’em at 6:30 AM. (People, someday I WILL sleep past 7:00 AM. I just know it.) We played with his new “Serpent Sword” as well as drill set, which is still a top favorite since receiving it for his birthday last year. I mean, it IS pretty fun! 🙂
About an hour or so later, I made us breakfast – French toast sticks, apple slices, and milk for Quinn and a rice cake with mashed banana, ground flax, and almond butter spread on top for me.
When Mal was awake, we took a family trip to Stop & Shop for some groceries.
This kid. <3
On the drive home, I received a message from some friends about going out to lunch, and it sounded like a great plan to us!
A few hours later, we met them at The Fours for lunch. I ordered the “Ray Bourque” sandwich on gluten-free bread – sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. Yummmm!
Lunch was quite the fun Sunday outing! Can we talk about the matching outfits? 🙂
After lunch, we headed home. Quinn went down for a nap, Mal went out with friends, and I did some meal prep, which if you hop on Instagram Stories right now, you can see what I made for the week! 🙂
When Quinn woke up from his nap, we took Murphy on a walk around the neighborhood. It was pretty cold outside, but sunny – I really hope Spring is on its way!
FYI: Some colors of my winter coat (pictured above) are ON SALE right now!!! I paid an arm and a leg for it last fall, but it’s so much cheaper. Maybe I need it in blue, too? 🙂
FYI #2: My jeans (also pictured above – and free shipping both ways from Nordstrom) were just $64, and I’m obsessed. Love, love, love! Actually, here’s a better photo (below).
I usually spend a ton on jeans (like $200) because I wear them a ton and want them to last, but these ones were so much more affordable and just as high-quality. My black slip-on shoes are also a steal at $49, and they’re insanely comfy – like walking on clouds! 🙂
Question of the Day
What are your favorite brand of jeans?

Quinn is too cute! Someday you will sleep ‘til 7, but it looks like getting up early works for you guys, you get SO much done. My 4yo sleeps in on Sundays and we have to make an effort to eat breakfast and get out of the house by noon so the whole day isn’t shot. I can’t complain
For jeans, I still can’t get away from bootcut. I like Banana Republic skinny bootcut in the darkest wash possible. I have 3 pairs in 2 sizes, a couple of which I am almost ready to let go of and size down. I also have a pair of skinny ankle jeans, and somehow being a bit cropped I’m comfortable in them. They’re super casual though. I’m a ~$50 pair of pants kind of girl and if there’s a sale or coupon, even better
Those jeans are really cute. My favorite jean brand is Kut from the Kloth, j just love how they fit.
Hi Tina! Loooove those jeans! Need a new pair so this is perfect timing. What size are you wearing in the pictures above? Do they run true to size and length? Never worn articles of society before and want to order online without trying on first! Thank you!!! 🙂
I ordered a 26 and thought they fit well, but maybe ran a little big. I’m hoping they shrink in the wash a bit!

Those jeans are adorable! I even like the destroyed look, which I’m not normally into. I really like LOFT jeans and I love my bootcut jeans from Buckle!
@Erinn: How do the jeans fit??!
I used to be a sucker for H & M super skinny low jeans which are already cheap but love the way they fit. But on my last order the quality was terrible compared to the past ones, I may need to try these out!
I love Articles of Society jeans — in fact I’m wearing a pair of maternity ones now! The best part is if you order from Nordstroms they will always take back any article of clothing no matter how old it is. I had a pair of Blank NYC jeans where the distressing wore completely out after a year and exposed my thigh (not a good mom look) so I just filled out a blank return slip from online, explained the problem and got my $ back… and free returns too! So if yours don’t end up shrinking, don’t be afraid to send back and try another size.
Quinn was hysterical with that sword in your IG stories! Glad you had a nice weekend checking out those jeans and shoes now!
Jeans?! What jeans? I live in yoga leggings all the time! Haha!
For jeans I go super cheap: Old Navy or Target. I used to wear jeans all the time when I could wear them for work. Now I think I live in workout clothes or shorts.
It is like I was reading my own blog – I also spend whatever it takes for good jeans. Then I snagged this pair and am LIVING for them! The best!
I ordered a pair of these, based on this post alone! Haha – I’m a sucker for a good deal 🙂 Fingers crossed they fit okay 🙂
I hope you like them! I was pumped to find them! 🙂
I’m obsessed with any jeans stitchfix sends me! (or pants!) I can never send a pair back!

I just got my Nordstrom shipment… Tina, oh MY!! These jeans have FAR exceeded my expectations upon fury trying them on… SUPER comfy, eastbound fit. My addictive personality is tempted to binge-purchase a few more pairs… THANK YOU for sharing about this gem of a purchase!
Yayyyy! So glad you like them!!
