You guys know that I’m a HUGE fan of the television series Parenthood. I know some of you are too, so I am especially excited to share my interview with Monica Potter, who played “Kristina Braverman” on the show. Now that it’s over, she’s involved in all sorts of cool projects, including being the spokesperson for MilkWise, a new milk product that the whole family can enjoy. The brand kindly offered to coordinate our interview, so a huge thank you to MilkWise, and I hope you guys like reading it!

How are you similar to Kristina Braverman?

Like Kristina, I’m a mom who wants the best for her kids. Being a mom is the best job I’ve ever had and I try to remember to cherish every second with them.

How are you different?

I’m more spontaneous than Kristina and like to have a little more fun. But by the end of the series we ended up becoming more alike than different.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

I have insomnia and I’m deathly afraid of spiders.

What did you eat for breakfast this morning?

I had some tea and a bowl of granola with MilkWise Vanilla and some fruit. It’s quick and simple and something I can feel good about and it keeps me going through the day.

What’s your favorite quick and healthy dinner recipe?

These are a few of my favorites right now:

What’s the funniest/craziest thing that happened on the set of Parenthood?

Craig T. Nelson made me pee my pants in in one of the Halloween episode one night.  Having 3 kids, my bladder isn’t what it used to be.

Do you keep in touch with anyone from the cast now that the series has ended?

Yes, I keep in touch with a lot of the team – the actors, hair and makeup team and crew. We were all like one big family and I miss working with them every day, but it’s nice to keep in touch and I see some of them occasionally.

What’s next for you on the acting/career front?

I’m working on an unscripted docu-series with my family that I’m really excited about. I purchased the home I grew up in (in Cleveland, OH) and I’m working with my family to renovate it. The series will chronicle the progress of that and the dynamic between my family and I and we’re having a lot of fun working on it.

In addition, I also own a home store in Garrettsville, OH (outside Cleveland) and curate and sell home and personal care products on MrsPotter.com so that’s been keeping me busy!
