After running 13 miles, second breakfast never tasted so good!
Mal made us greasy egg sandwiches with extra sharp cheddar cheese and extra butter. Every bite tasted amazing.
After second breakfast, it was time to get to work. Like usual, Mal and I divided and conquered our tasks for the day. He worked outside; I worked inside.
Mal spent a solid two hours raking the leaves in our backyard.
Of course, his furry sidekick kept him company.
Murphy wanted to help.
But, he was more interested in eating leaves.
And chewing sticks.
Typical.
While the boys cleaned up the yard, I organized my office.
I made some serious progress, but it’s still not quite finished.
While cleaning my office, I snacked on an apple.
Around 4:00 pm, Mal and I called it quits for the day. We broke open a couple of beers to celebrate our hard work and PR’s on this morning’s half marathon.
Running long distances makes me crave beer in a major way! Hello, carbs!
I also snacked on a Nature’s Path granola bar.
Now, Mal and I are munching on some Backyard BBQ Chips to hold us over until dinner.
I’m getting really hungry, so I think it’s time to start cooking!

Congrats on the half today! Posts with Murphy in them always put a smile on my face š
I love extra sharp cheddar cheese with eggs too. In fact, extra sharp cheddar is good any way one wants to eat it.
We love BBQ chips. They never last long here.
Beer and BBQ chips are the BEST way to celebrate after a good half-marathon! In fact, I’m just amazed that you both did housework at all afterward–I’d be lying on the couch all day!
Congratulations on your PR! I’m glad your fever went away!! š
